I don't understand what "loose all those road games" means. Does that mean the Rockets' will set them free?
Most people gave up on the Morey hate after the Harden trade took place. That was when people realized we had flipped the team without tanking. Something inconceivable to those who were sure tanking was the only way to turn the ship around. From there it was the "fire McHale," knee jerks that cropped up. Even those have started to subside as it has become clear that 1 month with an entirely new roster was in fact too small of a sample size. Imagine that. It will be interesting to see what the geniuses of GARM come up with next should the Rockets lose 2 in a row.
Even if we do lose all those road games it honestly does not matter. McHale has shown that he can implement a style and have a team play that way. He gets credit for that. I am impressed with us being 14-12 with the front court talent we have. I would have thought this team was far away from contention but now think we are an all-star PF away from it. We find a pf who can put up 18-10 consistently we are in very good shape. I definitely never thought that possible. I still think both Harden and Lin have loads of room to grow and are far from their potential. It will take 2-3 more years before they start to peak. When they have more maturity, experience, a more polished game, and still the youthful athleticism. Between now and then, if Morey can get that PF - we will be a serious player. The dangerous team is OKC because they are so good now, plus they now have a ton of good picks coming in to get even better. It still hard to see Lin + Harden ever being better than Westbrook + Durant. Especially if they are able to add another player into that mix. We need to match that firepower with a dominant power forward. In 3 years, it will be the clippers (if they stay healthy), OKC, and maybe Miami depending on how Wade holds up. Chicago too if they can find some help for Rose. The Lakers, Spurs will be gone. Celts are already done.
