Agree. Shane must only be included if the package gives the team another scoring option aside from a center. Outlaw is good but Fernandez is better.

do you think if we include Landry they would include Outlaw.... :)

With this trade the line-up would look like.....
    Brooks
    Fernandez
    Ariza
    Scola
    Pryzbilla
    Bench
    Lowry
Taylor or Wafer(if we sign him)
    White
    Outlaw
Dorsey or (Rob Benson, Darryl Watkins, Johan Petro)
But I think we would have to make another trade to get another big... :D

^ I rather keep Landry then Outlaw. Landry gives us energy off the bench and the much needed rebounds.

That move was a good move for us.

If it took Landry to be included with Battier for Fernandez+Prz+Outlaw then I would make that move. Does Portland feel Landry has more value than Outlaw? I am not so sure.

I like landry, but I see more upside to outlaw.

It makes sense. The Rockets can kill two birds with one stone -- get a center, shed salary for 2010.

Your are Executive of the Year my friend

I honestly think you would be fired your 1st year. This is a lottery bound team. Clutchfans members would be calling for your head if the Rockets looked like this. :D

I agree, Outlaw has some serious potential with his size and speed with a strong outside shot already. Rox have to have been discussing this with Portland...if they offer us this package this il take it and run with it!

    Battier/Landry

    for

    Fernandez/Outlaw/Joel P.

But wouldn't the Rockets lose another front court player? They would get a SF which by the way is Ariza's spot. The important thing is to strengthen the front court. Have some low post players that would make life easier for the guards and shooters of the team. Upside, yes He is a better but the need is for the front court.

    I'm confused with Portland.

The only reason Rudy wants to leave, is because they were eying Turkoglu.

Now that he's gone to Toronto, isn't Rudy happy in Portland again?

Well its basically like your G/F telling you that she has been seeing someone else and thinks hey make a better couple but finds out the other guy is getting married to another girl....would you want to go back to the G/F?

From the sounds of it he's impressed by Vegas... we're going to trade one of our draft picks... probably whoever does the most showboating and scoring... it might be set up in the system to pass to that guy a lot so his stats look good to the NBA.

If we're going to deal Battier to Portland you absolutely have to get one of their solid young players back. I'm not wild about Pryzbilla and Outlaw is a free agent next summer so he doesn't qualify. Fernandez has to be the minimum. Personally, I want Oden. Pritchard would probably never deal him, though. Not because he doesn't deserve to be traded but because dealing Oden would be an admission that the pick was a mistake. Still doesn't hurt to inquire into his availability, though.
