I wouldn't blame Morey if he DID quit. This isn't about three weeks working on a trade. Morey has spent three years desperately trying to put together a deal to obtain himself a true star player to replace Yao Ming. He moved up from good, above average players like Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry to borderline stars like Kevin Martin and Luis Scola. And finally, after dozens of transactions, countless hours spent in blood sweat and tears, he finally makes a big deal to get himself a legitimate star, one of the top 15 players in the NBA, and Stern turns around and vetoes the trade. He's got to be sitting there thinking to himself, "I may never get the opportunity to grab a star player again. Screw this job."
I agree. Here is a crazy thought: May be Stern is already thinking about getting rid of Hornets and doing a team contraction, so he doesn't care about the best interest of Hornets.
Thank god I hope he quits. Morey is not looking at whats best for the rockets long term. Everybody knows the Rockets need to rebuild not trade for gasol and continue to be a team with zero championship aspirations. Please trade Martin and Luis for draft picks. Sometimes things have to get worst before they get better
!!! He's messing up the whole ROckets right now...I hope he gets FIRED TO IM TWEETIN THE F OUT OF HIM SO HE GET HIS MIND RIGHT OR QUIT!!! Everyone Got what they want or NEED and we stuck...
He's doing his job and doing what his boss says .. Les wants to rebuild without tanking and that's exactly what he's doing. He's a great gm.
Morey's methodology is right. In Morey I trust????? Really building a team destined for a seed between 4-8 with no chance at winning a ring. Unless your in a glamorous city or already have superstars the only way to build a championship team is through the draft. Moreys logic of building a team around gasol is dead wrong
btw what a spoiled cry baby bum oh something didn't go my way let me quit my job. Morey is a stuck up elitist punk who needs to start actually watching basketball rather then basing everything off statistical analysis. I
The 95 Rockets say, "Hello!" And your logic is wrong because its wrong. (Props to whoever gets this because obviously flippedfk wont.)

I like the way you're judging someone based off of twitter rumors. Do you really think he's quitting because off this trade? If he quits, it's because of the crappy luck he's been dealt with this franchise. Is Demps a cry baby too?
I don't think Morey would quit in a huff, especially at the beginning of training camp, with so much unresolved. That would hurt his rep and his career.
I don't think Morey is a whiney baby like this would make him seem like. He has the skin of an armadillo and the tenacity of a honey badger.
Morey is not attempting to build a championship team he is trying to build a playoff caliber team. Please anybody tell me in what possible way even if the gasol trade was completed how are the Rockets going to beat La No or OKC.
Sux if we lose Morey because of this. But understandable on his part. He works for years cleaning up the salary mess, acquiring assets and trying to make the 'right' trade for a star. Finally gets the chance to make that trade and the NBA steps in to block it. Why bother being the GM? Just file a request with the league for a particular player and see how they go splitting up the assets... And all because the NBA wants someone to buy the Hornets...
