I actually liked a lot of Disciple of RP's previous posts, I think he is just frustrated, as most of us are. I guess he just needed to vent, hopefully he will calm down. I'm just worried that as we will go through the rebuilding phase for the next 1, 2 years, the GARM will be even more unbearable than it already has been...
I'm very amazed that this has to happen in order for clutchfans to realize what an idiot DM really is. MIT grads can suck on my ass because in all honesty number crunching nerds are not meant to be directing sports management. I bet a high school coach would do a better job at gathering allstar talent than our current group of imbessiles. (Not just frustruation talk-all honesty)

Morey did well with considering what he gave up and what he got. My only wish is that he would have traded Lee and a first rounder for Chicago's Asik. Maybe he tried. I certainly don't know. However, then we would have come away with two bigs -- one to play now and one to develop. Yes, I would have hated to lose Courtney Lee, but we have Terrence Williams to back up Kevin Martin. The Goran Dragic pickup was brilliant. Compared to Brooks, he is a much better PG in every way. AB's only advantages came as a tiny SG for which we had no need. To get a draft pick with Dragic moved this from an A to an A+. Taking a chance on Thabeet over a 5-points per game SF who was no longer a good defender was logical and necessary. I love Battier for his IQ, his heart and his leadership, but he can't outjump Yao Ming and was overmatched by his opposite number consistently. I hope he turns his attention to coaching as soon as possible.

It didn't even seem like Morey believed the words that were coming out of his mouth. Thabeet is a worthless waste of space, and Dragic is like a slight upgrade of vasillis spanoulis. This might be the weakest draft ever, so those picks we acquired should be about as useful as a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest. Fml, it sux ass to be a Houston sports fan right now. All I know is that if TWill doesn't get off the bench now, then I'm coming for Adelman. He's the only reason to be even remotely excited about the Rockets, and he doesn't even get to play.
Why would you want anything besides a first rounder? Are you hoping to get more 2nd rounders who end up all stars (Arenas, Boozer?) we're obviously rebuilding
You know, there was once a time when I would have been as po'ed as yourself - in fact I WAS back in 2009 when Morey traded for that dirt bag Artest. I was absolutely livid because I had spent the previous 14 years watching the Rockets make the same type of pointless move over and over and over and over. Well, it's two years later and what? The same old, same old BS. This team has NO identity outside of the "If Yao Wasn't Hurt...Again" excuse. This organization has no plan outside of acquiring draft picks, d-leaguers, marginal players and draft busts while declaring them to be "assets for the future". Unlike the other members of the fan purity patrol, I can certainly understand why you are so angry: You expect, no you demand better of this team and organization but you have to understand that for many of the rocketsheep and apologists around here, the idea of demanding excellence from the Rockets is simply too painful. It's MUCH easier to settle for their endless mediocrity and pretend that the Rockets' future is going to be marvelous. I suggest getting a copy of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" and listening to it whenever you feel the anger welling up within yourself. It won't transform the Rockets into a bonafide contending team but it will help to mellow (Mello?) you out.
every possible view point on Morey has already been expressed so all i will say is - i have no problem rebuilding. No problem taking chances on formerly high draft picks who have struggled. All i ask is that if we're going to trade fan favorites for them, if we're going to miss the playoffs this year, that you at least PLAY THEM RICK!
