It looks like there is a pretty good chance that the Rockets and Clippers may play each other in the first round of the playoffs. I just think it would be hilarious if we beat the Clippers with Josh Smith once again.

One would think that when Blake Griffin went down, Josh would get a chance to play big minutes and throw up some nice numbers. 12 minutes in 8 games with 6 DNPs! If he wasn't hurt, Doc must really hate him.

Cold Adrich got his minutes, and clippers were doing the mbah a moute/ pierce small lineup after Blake went down.

Well I guess he really screwed up. He can't even get on the floor in front of Cole Aldrich and Luc Mbah a Moute. I guess this "defined role" that he wanted has morphed into towel waving and bench warming. Every team needs a cheerleader.

It's a shame really, he pissed me off at times but I did really love how he was clutch and showed some fire when some guys weren't. Wish he didn't go to the team we put the epic hurt on though. I did like him as our 6th man but I really thought his playmaking would not be missed cus of Lawson...

Well the good news is that IMO he's very likely to be traded or outright released by the Clippers and if he's not, he'll just be a wasted roster spot for them.

I expect Josh Smith to be released prior to the March 1st deadline to be playoff available.

I think it would be mutual if we can promise him a good role.

Well, let's face it. DMo's availability is a big question mark for the remainder of this season. I think we could use him.

He'd help defensively and in the passing game.

If he can't help a Griffin-less Clippers team, can he help us?

I'm also inclined to think they would rather pay him to sit past the playoff deadline than let him join us while we compete with them for the middle seeds.

The issue is that he doesn't work on most teams, he couldn't help a hapless Pistons team, but without him, the Rockets never make it past the Clippers last year. It's why he was such a moron for buying into Doc's BS and signing there.

Ask Clipper fans whether Josh is playing well. They just don't understand why Rivers bench him just like JB and Thornton scenario.

I can follow where you are going but Morey could have signed a better guy for a longer term.

Morey should have prioritized the PF position before the PG spot long time ago.

You would not miss him and you'd be clubbing sb else's Pen15.
