The 790 guys always have a much better rapport with Morey than the 610 guys. Much better to listen to.

When the Rockets jumped ship to 790, 610's Josh Dips**t Innes went on a tirade against Morey when he called in. Innes probably felt it was open season on Morey now that 610 was no longer tethered to the Rockets; I think we'd only just acquired Harden, so our ascent was only in its infancy.

I think it started with Morey jokingly saying, "Are these your questions? I thought you'd have tougher questions than this." And Innes took this as a cue to play hardball.

Even Rich Lord, a middle-aged corporate kiss-ass who hated young Innes and vice versa but had to share the booth with him, didn't restrain Innes, although at a later date he began to curb Innes' anti-Morey on-air rants.

It probably took Morey and 610 awhile to mend fences to whatever degree. But 610 has no stake in the Rockets, except to mention them in pretense of caring about a team other than the Texans, so their interviews with Morey are few, far-between, and exceptionally pointless.

    Didn't know all that.

No wonder Morey seems to be on 790 way more.

Yeah Josh and Rich had a crazy argument about why he was so obsessed with not giving Morey credit for anything.

Since he's been gone they have a more Rockets stuff(during basket ball season when football season is over of course), and had Mario Elie call in about every week to talk about Rockets recently during this past season

Now Josh Innes is in Philly getting into fights w/ other local sports radio guys. That guy thinks he's the coolest bro in the world. (Nope)

610 is somewhat better but they act like the Texans have won the SuperBowl every year since inception of the team. Worst homers ever and I really don't mind homers but they go over the top with no shame on their slobbering of the Texans.

It was a surprisingly good interview for the offseason in case people missed it. A couple tidbits:

    1. Morey doesn't like you or your fantasy football auction league. In the future he requests that salary caps in the auction drafts be laden with more room exceptions.

    2. Morey got a chance to watch Harden's minicamp in LA. Says Lawson and Beverley both look good, thinks it will be the deepest PG rotation he can remember having, although that's not saying much.

    3. They've given thought to adding advanced stats to the Rockets broadcasts, but not things like percent chance to win a la poker shows. It would be too disheartening some games, and we deserve to be fooled at least a little bit in our lives.

    4. He openly admits to trading Battier even though Battier asked him not to. "Shane lives in Miami now, but that's my fault." Also says he is very nervous for a duet he has prepared to sing with Shane at the upcoming Battioke. Clutchfans every are on alert, as the Morey singing vid must be uploaded to YouTube within 30 seconds after it happens.

Dragic and Lowry was a deeper PG rotation. Morey's memory is falling down.

Not deeper or better than Harden/Lawson/Bev/Terry.
