Calderon replacing Brooks while keeping the picks would be a wash. Giving them both Hill AND Bud wouldn't be worth it though. Contenders? we'd need to see who we'd sign with the MLE. We'd still have Scola and the Picks to package for another player or move up in the draft.
you're right but the list one poster made is not enough. you have to add one more salary to make it work.
Hmmm i would rather get jarrett jack than getting calderon, and no i dont see that worth it. Giving up way too much.
I have some inside information about Bosh (not the type of person to go around saying that in the BBS). No one would believe me and the person who told me would not trust me with inside information again if I gave details, but I would put money that Bosh will be wearing Rockets' Red next season.
Agreed. It's important to keep in mind we need Bosh and the Raptors agreement. I truly do not see Hedo happening unless it is what morey wants. It's going to be a long off-season of speculation
Brooks isn't going anywhere this year, maybe next season when he approaches free agency, but not this year. Calderon is one of the worst defensive PG's in the league, even worse than AB, gun to my head i would take Turkoglu, but unless the Raptors are willing to do a straight salary dump, and take back no assets, Morey isn't taking that crap.
I would be really upset if that happens...only knock on Kyle is that he cant shoot the dang ball. Until he provides a consistent jump shot he will all ways be a back up.
I'm a Lowry fan. I've wanted him on the rockets since his Nova days. But he hasn't improved at all over the past few seasons. He's still the same player he was on the grizzlies. Brooks has skyrocketed past him in the meantime.
Well I think he has improved. His value to this team this season is unquestionable. Remember when he was out of the lineup? Brooks has only skyrocketed Lowry in one category, Offensively.
I say you do put $$$ on it. Place a bet with one of the doubters here (obviously not me) and the loser donates the cash to the tip jar. Put ur money where your keyboard is.
I would have went with money where your mouse is, but not bad Flash. Of course, we're on the same page in regards to Bosh being here next year, even if we have to take on Turkoglu. Yao, Bosh, and Ariza in the Rockets' frontcourt next year? That will certainly make things interesting. The Lakers would even take notice. It's that significant of a move.
because he's going to give the raptors a short list of options they have less leverage. if bosh says trade me to A or B and the raps can't come to an agreement (neither team wants turkey, but the raps insist), bosh may get fed up with the teams unwillingness to help him out that he would then feel pushed to just signed outright with a new team. he has very good options if he goes that route too. if he wants to win, he can do so with wade in miami or with the bulls in chicago. if he wants exposure and recognition (which he's been complaining about for a while now) then he has new york. houston is the perfect fit for him. 5th biggest market (exposure), winning franchise, and he would be the man here (recognition). i can see why this would be his first choice, but if the raps play hard ball he has other great options and they would get nothing. in the end, its in the raptors best interest to work out a S&T, which is why they have very little leverage.
LOL! I think we should package the whole team, minus Yao, for Bosh. They could play 2 on 5 ... we would TOTALLY be in contention! LOL!
