Bingo, even the 610 guys could get it out of him. Something's fishy and I'm sure it has to do with Fegan

Don't agree. This forum gives Alexander and Morey tons of love. 'In Morey we trust' is a popular expression.

    flexibility, it limits flexibility.

Morey cited Dwight's teams in Orlando has having those issues. Once you go down the rabbit hole, you become rigid and unable to retool the roster.

How do you magically sign good players to large contracts when you are already over the cap?

Except their superstar has proven he can help carry a team to a title.

Since the team is focusing on becoming better defensively, why not make a coaching change that will support that defensive focus. McHale hasn't demonstrated much on that side, in fact, the team's defense got even worse after Sampson left.

If 2015 is the year, seems like a good time to bring in a new coach now to begin to prepare for 2015...

"We need flexibility...", for what? For each star (or 1/2 star) player tell us NO?! Always the same story... ALWAYS!

It may feel like it's always the same story when we got rejected this year, but the two years prior we added James Harden and Dwight Howard because of our flexibility.

Yep, flexibility does not win games - that is a hallow promise.

    One that is unlikely realized.

Good teams KEEP their good players, and improve, don't step back due to keeping up the profitability of the franchise.

Howard didn't tell us no. Harden signed a max contract here. Ariza just signed here. Stars come here, just not every single one

The key here is that Les can overpay Parsons with his money, but he can not get another player like him on the market because of the cap. You can use Parsons as a great role player, and use his salary for a superstar trade later on. But we all know Les does not want to spend that money, which I know that from the beginning. Morey will let you know that he can find another Parsons soon, just try to believe him if you like.

Well we tried to bring in Hollins, and I'm sure Dwight likes McHale too much for us to simply can him.

Imagine if along with all the other nonsense of this offseason, we fired McHale. What would Dwight think? Fegan would be licking his lips

    Thank you.

Would have liked to hear more about that. What other factors are people bypassing? I'm open to hear those reasons, could change people's opinion in that regard.

Parsons as an all-star in the western conference is the true koolaid, and Dallas is chugging it right now. Good luck, Mavs.

Morey specifically addressed how Parsons contract was incredibly difficult to trade due to its additional stipulations. This played a major role in his decision not to match.

As for your following point, I'm not even going to address BS conjecture.
