The good thing about Ariza yesterday was that he continued to be aggressive despite the turnovers. I liked that very much. I look at this year as a great opportunity for Ariza and the rest of the young players to play through their mistakes and get better. I do like seeing us winning of course, but I'm not really too much concerned about our overall record.
He dunked vs the Sonics 2 years ago at Toyota Center toward the end of the year...I went to the game and was shocked to see it and what made it more incredible it was in someone's grill, I think Collison lol.
he said for sure next year, probably sometime in december, as most predicted. like most have said, MRI in 11/23 to make sure. get in half a month of practice or so to get up to speed, then play.
he also dunked in game 4 or 6 of the playoffs vs the lakers last night when he spun off of odom and flushed it with two hands.
so what if when tracy does actually play and suck... i'm sure morey wouldn't risk that. he's an expiring contract. there's nothing that needs to be said.
U just can't wrap ur brain around the fact tracy will be here for longer than u want can u? Tracy's value is the contract and not his play. A team that wants to trade for him to get other contracts off the books can do it now and waive the physical. I do agree that u won't hear a gm down talk a player if he's going to trade them, but in mcgrady's case, his play won't determine his value.
U just can't wrap ur brain around the fact that teams often change goals around mid-season based on how the team is performing, can u? A team that is heavy on salary but thinks it is a playoff team will shift goals to saving money if it only has 13 wins at the All Star break, u know? That's why u see so many lopsided deals around the trade deadline, u heard?
More times than not when u wait till the trade deadline u get less. A lot of teams do it before in case they have to trade that player again. Within the first month, its easy to see if the team is going to be a playoff team or not for the most part. Gasol was traded before the dealine, not at the line. Not only that is if a team is under the cap lt limit, they are playing with the same money. Its not necessary to do a knee jerk trade in midseason if they're not at the lt and losing. DD, my bad.
The deal doesn't have to been done at the deadline but it also doesn't have to be done during the summer or the beginning of the season. As I said before, teams' plans change once they get deep into the season and see what they have. I don't follow what you're saying about lt. If a team is locked into one (or several) long term deals and can get rid of them in exchange for an expiring deal the size of McGrady's they do it. It's about cleaning the slate and starting over the following year.
