The same Lowry who consistently gets into mind-games with the refs and looses his cool? The same Lowry who drives to the hoop expecting to get handed a whistle and free throws? The same Lowry who looses his cool and lets it affect his decision-making and passing?

    Yeah, no.

The same Lowry that everyone on here said was untouchable right before the trade deadline and was playing great for us. You guys are too quick to jump on the new bandwagon. Dragic has been playing good but Lowry is our point guard next season

Not everyone said that, some of us could see his flaws all along.

The same person that couldn't see the glaring flaws that AB possessed? Or the person that was whining about getting Dragic in the first place and basically said that it was a major downgrade? #whentootingyourownhorngoeswrong.

I could see the flaws in AB, I just liked his shooting and ability to beat his man off the dribble, and did not see Lowry getting much better at it.

I was wrong, Lowry got better at shooting and made himself a better starter.

Now with Dragic, he is better than both.....

Took you long enough to realize Dragic is a good player.

Welcome to the party, you're way late.

Once he got the starting gig, he took off, that is very hard to see, he was really struggling last year in Phoenix.....

Gogi is much better as a starter than a backup - imo....

And I can't be late to the party, I AM the party.

    ;)

The DaDakota Spectrum of Rockets Point Guard Quality:

    V-Span < AB < Lowry < Dragic

At this rate, the Rockets' starting PG in 2018 will be the greatest player ever to play the game!

    :p

    (Just messing with you, DD.)

Still waiting to hear who Morey has 'let walk for nothing'.

Chuck Hayes? Ron Artest? Are those the arguments you're hanging your hat on? An overpaid 6'6" center and a one-year rental?

Oh, Jeremy Lin says hello, Terrence Williams is holding the door, Ron Artest also left for nada.....

Gogi leaving would be far worse than any of the others.

    You're moving the goalposts.

Lin didn't "walk for nothing", neither did T-Will, they were released/cut.

Letting Lin go was a mistake, and trading for T-Will was a mistake, but they don't fit the argument you made.

And please, Ron Artest was never going to or supposed to be traded. He was a critical piece of that team and playoff-run, and we got him knowing full-well the risk of him leaving the next year (which, by and large, turned out to be a good thing).

On the contrary, there isn't a player I can think of whom Morey has "let walk for nothing" (i.e. a player that should have/could have been reasonably traded away).

And when Goran leaves next year, it won't be on Morey either. As you couldn't expect him to trade away his best active player at a position that was already paperthin in the middle of a playoff race. Although I'm sure you'll blame him anyway.

    So..

You would pay big money to keep Terrence Williams and Artest?

How is that not leaving for nothing? They were both under contract and control of the Rockets and were released.

Pretty much the definition of not getting anything from them as ...wait for it........"ASSETS"......

    Don't be obtuse.

    You said.

You were referring to free agents leaving. And even IF you include Lin and T-Will (neither of whom would've fetched you crap on the trade market), your argument still looks really silly compared to the gobs of players that have been dumped for better talent and/or picks.

The most talented player we've "let walk for nothing" is Chuck Hayes. That's about it. Not sure anybody would've given us much for him, nor would it have made sense to trade our (virtually) only center in the middle of another playoff race. I'm happy he got that big contract, but we certainly can't be blamed for not matching it.

Are you upset that we waived Hilton Armstrong?
