sounds like he's talking about Robert Horry... he said he only wanted to play for either Houston or New Orleans.
he's doing exactly the same as he has been. he's done. he probably still doesn't believe it, but he is.
Another PF? I think that position is covered. Scola, Landry, Hayes, Dorsey, Novak, and maybe Greene as well.
Thanks for the recaps! I especially like the part about resigning Landry even though later on it mentions that it will affect the MLE. I'm just wondering which veterans he thinks they can get for the LLE and the biannual exception.
True, (although Novak and Greene are really SF's) but it isn't ever a bad idea to get good players. That could be enough for us to feel comfortable trading one of those 4s to get a better wing player. Its not likely that we can get players who can perform better than Horry (especially in the clutch) with only 2 mil. Its always better to stockpile bigs than guards because you can usually end up getting a decent guard by trading big for small.
thanks for the recap. regarding CDR...there's no way Morey could no more about draft talent and team needs than people on message boards and radio talking heads.
DM has never been afraid to load up on one position, remember the "PG glut" last year? As it turned out, Rafer was still the only reliable one.
it was in the espn rumors a while back http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/columnists/mmonroe/stories/MYSA.062008.1D_BKN_mike_monroe.en.3d58225.html I don't think its a bad idea to pick him up...unless we can get landry for that cheap. Getting him just makes us deeper and gives us more assets that we'll be willing to part with.
We should get him just to guarantee we make it out of the first round. Show Hancock that we appreciate him and he'll be the hero we know again.
Awesome recap DD. We recently went to an electronic medical record in my office and I sure could use your typing skills.
So Morey openly admits that Greene isn't ready to play, and that there was no real reason for Arthur to fall other than the big run on bigs. I remain very unhappy that we moved Arthur for Greene. Arthur and Battier at 3 would have been very good for us this year, starting in Nov. Instead, we send Greene to the NBDL and cross our fingers that he turns into a usable guy before McGrady and Yao are done. Win Sometime Down the Road! Evan
