glad to get that conspiracy out of the way! but the team never informed the public of ANY MISSING CARTILAGE until CH2 report brought it up.
Grasping at many straws ? They removed loose particles last year....what do you think those particles were? Yep, Cartlidge.....Kobe is missing some, he plays, Roy is missing some, he plays. Tmac played with it last year too, but this year, he just decided...after being fat and out of shape, that he is no longer capable of playing with it. Uh, yeah, right, WTF ever. DD
Here is the audio from the Morey interview...Great job by our morning producer Nunee Oakes on recording the hell out of it, editing the hell out of it and uploading of it. <div> <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0" width="210" height="25" id="mp3playerdarksmallv3" align="middle"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.podbean.com/podcast-audio-video-blog-player/mp3playerdarksmallv3.swf?audioPath=http://thegame.podbean.com/medias/play/aHR0cDovL21lZGlhMi5wb2RiZWFuLmNvbS81ODk4Mi91L0pMLURhcnlsTW9yZXktMi0yMC0wOS5tcDM/JL-DarylMorey-2-20-09.mp3&autoStart=no" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> <embed src="http://www.podbean.com/podcast-audio-video-blog-player/mp3playerdarksmallv3.swf?audioPath=http://thegame.podbean.com/medias/play/aHR0cDovL21lZGlhMi5wb2RiZWFuLmNvbS81ODk4Mi91L0pMLURhcnlsTW9yZXktMi0yMC0wOS5tcDM/JL-DarylMorey-2-20-09.mp3&autoStart=no" quality="high" width="210" height="25" name="mp3playerdarksmallv3" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></embed> </object> <br /><a style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; padding-left: 41px; color: #2DA274; text-decoration: none; border-bottom: none;" href="http://www.podbean.com">Powered by Podbean.com</a> </div>
Thanks for the Recap and the Pod link. It was interesting for me to hear Morey speak about Kyle's strengths, especially as it relates to Kyle attacking the basket and getting to the FT line. Morey mentions how this helps Yao because the team gets into the bonus sooner. I have been a proponent of getting someone like Maggette (along with DD) for this exact reason. This may give some insight into what this summer's priorities may be. Morey mentions that we really don't have anyone on the team that attacks the basket and gets to the line.
I'm very glad to hear this because it sounds like the Rockets handled it very well after all. They simple told Tracy to play through it and be a man, Tracy decided to be a baby about it and now he's suffering the consequences. It's sad that the team had to go through all the drama though, so let's hope Tracy never comes back and either retires / plays for another team. We better not retire his number !!!! In reference to Lowry, he maybe get to the FT line a lot but he should at a terrible FT% so I don't know if that's a good thing right now.
I like how Morey talked about how most players play through the pain, which TMac hasnt been able to do. There is no reason to sugar coat anything to the media for TMac's sake. These guys are grown men, athletes who make millions to play a game...if those kinds of words are too harsh for their egos, then they are nothing but pu**ies, which TMac has proven to be. I cant wait for the day TMac is no longer a Rocket. I cant believe I am saying that, but Ive lost major respect for the guy. Looking forward to seeing Lowry on the court.
DD we treat Tmac like he has uterus and high amounts of estrogen in his body. Stop coddling this dude, maybe he will grow up and take it personal and due something about it.
With this trade it saves us about 600k this yr. So are we are still above the Luxury tax? If so, by how much? I wonder how much does saving money and the luxury tax factor into this trade. I remember they were over the lux tax when this year started but I don't remember how much exactly. Any ideas guys?
It all comes down to degrees. I'll assume Tracy is more breakable than those two and the pain he's going through is much worse. Normal people respond to different surgeries/medication differently. A high stress sport like only makes this differences worse and I don't think TMac has an 82 game and the playoffs body. He tried to play. the Rockets want him to play out of their best interests...not Tracy's. I'll let Tracy's doctors (not the rockets) decide what is best for him.
I would be interested to know what the trade offers from Portland were. They have many PGs and wing players, don't they? I would be more complete to evaluate the trade if we know what the alternatives are.
We don't have anyone attacking the basket? I don't know about that. I think Artest and Wafer both attack.
Lowry must be the guy the Rockets were talking about when they said they would try to acquire a guy that can get them a better guy later on (like Bobby Jackson/Artest deal).
I hope micro-fracture surgery isn't his main option. I heard a lot of players lose their explosiveness after the surgery. Tmac without explosiveness is the Tmac we got this season except he wouldn't be in pain after the surgery.
