I swear some of you guys think putting an NBA roster together is like putting your roster together in NBA 2K8.

Feigen said in his blog a while ago that he didn't think the Rockets front office was very high on Magette b/c his offensive skills, though noteworthy, would not mesh well with the offense Adelman wants to run.

Feigen is generally well connected to what the front office is thinking..

    Atlanta
    Charlotte
    Chicago
    Golden State
    Memphis
    Minnesota
    New Jersey
    Philadelphia
    Seattle

Can all offer contracts larger than MLE. He's from Chicago so my guess is he winds up there.

I have a hard seeing New Jersey and Memphis "adding" salary. Atlanta and Chicago have a glut of wing players and important players (Josh Smith, Loul Deng & Ben Gordon) that they have to make descion about extending.

That leaves you Charlotte, Golden State, Minny, Philly & Seattle. Thats 5 teams and only one (philly) made the postseason and Golden State offered Arenas 101mil ....my guess is their first priorty is PG.

My opinion...Maggette can be yours for the MLE.

He obviously wants more than the MLE, but if you are right and he can only get MLE, why would he choose the Rockets. He probably won't be starting. He reportedly has offers from the defending champions and the Spurs which have 4 rings in 10 years. That's just 2 teams, there are probably 10 others that would line up to pay him the MLE. On top of that if we offer him the MLE, Landry will sign an offer sheet with somebody else and we will either have to withdraw our offer to Maggette or let Landry walk on the chance that Maggette will take our offer. Maggette or Landry have no reason to be in a hurry to sign.

We are not looking in signing anyone until Landry mess is cleared. :(
It's unbelievable we end up in this mess (planning problem?). I know Maggette wants PT and he is not happy with the Clippers coach last season .. is there a chance Pop who is a strict and barking coach (probably worse than
JVG) piss him off :D .

No. All Gay can do is score. He can't play defense, has no lateral quickness and doesn't play hard except when he has the ball in his hands

Landry is nothing, Chuck Hayes has done more than last season... Let Landry walk, because we have Joey Dorsey now..

Stephen Jackson should be our target.
He is in the same caliber of Miller and Maggette and we have a good chance to get him.

Ditto, Magette is the scorer we need when teams shift their focus to Yao and Tmac. Our offense would be off the wall. We would suffer a little on D but I've seen Maggette play some D if inspired.

we would not suffer on D just because we would not be losing battier if we signed him with our MLE

Yeah - seriously - why isn't this happening? Dollar reached a two month low vs. euro today.

    DaDakota? Poprocks/BEXCELANT?
