Artest inevitably self destructs (and takes his team with him) when the pressure is on. Good luck to any team that thinks Artest is a path to a championship.

It may not be easy but Morey should and even has to go after Artest. This guy is all we need and in my opinion he would be the best player right now for this team.

Singing him we doesn't lose Battier's defense at all and what's more we add another strong and dangerous scorer.

Give anybody on this team not name yao or tracy. This guy will help us get to the golden land. He is a bit crazy, but thats exactly what we need on this team. We're too soft.

 

Kings need a point and they almost took Brooks at #10 last year. They're very high on him like Morey is.

 

btw we won't be trading Brooks, we would have already had Artest but we refused to give up Brooks.

And why would they say no? Artest opted out so they don't have much say like the Sonics did when they S&T Lewis last year.

 

I say throw Brooks and a few expiring contracts like Francis, Jackson and head along with next years first round pick and a resigned Landry at Sac.

Then sign Cassel and Robert Horry to vet min contracts.

if it came down to it, Scola, BJax and filler for Artest, I'd do it.

Landry/Dorsey/Hayes/Artest would be enough to fill the PF duties Imo.

 

Are got to be ****ing crazy to even mention Landry in the deal. Its a S&T, just make sure contracts work.

I read somewhere that Les gave Morey the OK to go over the luxury tax this year.."for the right player".
To me that player is Artest.

 

best case scenario is that he opts out and adelman talks him into playing for us although he wont make much money but if we have to trade for him i would give the kings what they want but keep tmac, yao, scola and battier. as long as we have those 4 adding artest makes us a legit contender

 

Hello guys, I'm new to this forum but I'm excited to be a part of such a huge Rockets fan base. I completely agree with the idea of getting Artest in order to prevent other WC teams from getting him....kind of like what Morey did to the Spurs by drafting Batum. Plus having Artest on the team will give the Rockets much added toughness and a proven third scorer.
