If he was Asik level, why would he be earning the minimum? The only thing Asik brought was his defense and he got paid 25 million (question against the poll)

Yeah, after he was in the NBA and got a starter's role.

I'm talking about for the 15 minutes per game that Dorsey would play as a back-up. Will he play those 15 minutes as well as Asik did, or worse or much worse?

The problem with him was that he always got into foul trouble and was unable to stay on the court. Hopefully, he really grown a bit and is able to provide solid defense and stay on the court. Then he might be as valuable as Asik.

all I can say is he can block shots and dunk on anyone in the league. He also does not have slippery fingers likeomer and he can catch and finish easily at his size. 480 guy his size he jumps the same height as Dwight Howard almost.

I expect he'll be behind DMo and Jones on the depth chart and hardly get any minutes.

Who in the world is saying he's on Asik's level?

He's more or less a Reggie Evans type. Veteran minimum is probably about right. An absolute monster on the glass. Defensively, he's not going to be the space eater in the middle that Asik or any true defensive center will be. He's probably more of a one-on-one defender, but he can block some shots.

I can also almost certainly guarantee you that this wont be the last person they sign this year. They will almost surely bring in someone else to challenge the backup center spot. This isn't the guy they are trusting to hold the fort down if Dwight is to miss any games this year from an injury.

Okafor, Ayon, E. Udoh, Steimsma, Elton Brand, Camby, Jason Collins, K. Martin

I suspect the Rockets will probably try and bring in at least one of these guys to training camp on a vet. min contract.

Also suspect a D-Leaguer or two will be added to the training camp roster. Remember they can bring up to 20 guys into camp on non-guaranteed deals. Dont be shocked if you see some one of these guys get signed.

-Jordan Henriquez, Dexter Pittman, Fesenko, Onuaku, etc.

Point is... 1 mil a year is hardly an investment that says... The Job is yours, and they are going to sign more bigs to tryout during training camp I'm almost sure.

He's not Hayes. Hayes was a terrific high-post passer who couldn't finish, jump, and outside of an exceptionally strong base, was below average athletically.

I'm expecting/hoping that Dorsey is now something along the lines of Thomas Robinson with better defense.

I thought you were bullishing when you said DG was 6'11. Maybe Dorsey is closer to 6'9

Unless Greene's height is inflated, too.

    Dorsey is just over 6'7

That picture is from Greene's rookie year. He's grown about two inches since.
