Do you believe this? And do you believe Joey Dorsey can fill what Asik brought to the back-up center position?

I believe he won defensive player of the year in the greek league in 2012 before joining FC Barcelona.

No I believe Morey is lying and that Dorsey was not voted best defensive anything.

    Liar liar pants on fire.

I'll be optimistic and say serviceable.

I am sure he is fine now that he was developed elsewhere.

Well, there is a difference between being voted as the best and actually being the best.

People can't discount this since we have a great example in Patrick Beverley.

Look at his videos on youtube. Of course, we still got to see how he plays vs NBA bigs but the guy grew up and learned to be serious about the game.

He does look like a poor man's Dwight Howard without the post game

9 teams in 8 years, not so good if he makes everyone in the locker room angry all the time.

Is 6 fouls to rest Dwight serviceable?

He would be great for Howard to practice against offensively, terrible defensively.
But I think right now Tjones/Dmo/D12 is a three man rotation at 4/5.

Joey Dorsey is like 6'8". LMA is going to shoot jumpers over him all day.

Guys who are that bad should miss on purpose and try to make it bounce towards one our players.

He's still only 6' 6.25" tall. I'll have to see him play against NBA players before I believe he's anything other than a scrub. Last time he was in the NBA he was fouling machine.

The fact that Morey was taking note / praising him in advance of the post-Bosh cluster**** is encouraging to me... tells me he has been watching & sees something worth taking a flyer on and that this isn't necessarily a desperation/reactionary signing like many here are making it out to be.

Hard to speculate what he can contribute, but he looks good in recent mixes and I think it's unfair to make a judgment based on how he played 5-6 years ago. I voted "serviceable" with an optimistic eye towards "pretty good." Here's hoping. On a minimum contract, serviceable wouldn't be a bad outcome at all.

Don't think this statement holds much weight, Euroleague is known for no defense.

Why is he taking a 2 mil over 2yr deal? when he could be getting 2 to 4x the amount in Europe since he's that elite and because of clubs over there also taking care of players' taxes?
