Glad the deal is dead. Gasol did not take Memphis to any significant run and he is getting old and injury prone. Scola, I think, is better than Gasol at this point. Bad move again by Morey.
Yep. I'm one of the ones that b****es about DM not bringing us any big deals, but he pulled this off (you can't blame him for the league's actions here), and actually, the McGrady deal was big stuff. Even if they were giving up a lot here, DM is pretty good at accumulating assets. Too bad the deal fell through.

I...am...crestfallen. This has been a bad day. It's been like digesting that 7 game series the Rockets lost to the Mavs a few years ago...but in a matter of hours. I log into the bbs at work, see the rumor. Couple hours later I get home...see that it is finalized. Go to the grocery store, get back, check again...see it has been --> vetoed by David Stern and the NBA. This is hell. I'm in hell. Stern better sober up in the morning and make the right call.
