    I agree.

I think Morey's teams generally have really good chemistry.

When is the last time we complained about the team not having chemistry? When Steve was here and couldnt see the Chinese giant in the paint?

If you put good players and a good coaching staff together, they figure it out.

As much credit as Dumars deserves for putting together their championship team, he really blew it with his pick of Darko Milicic. Passed on Wade, Bosh and Carmello, which would have given the Pistons another star player without tanking.

I was replying to the poster who said that being an asset to an organization should be a good thing. I was pointing out that when you were in a "normal" organization, it's a good thing cause it meant that they would want to keep you as long as they could. And because of that, you were going to reap the good result as part of the organization. Not so on a basketball team.

The negative connotation about being an "asset" on a basketball team is that you are basically a good trade chip. You are not part of the end goal of the organization.

Only superstars are "asset" in the normal sense.

When Don Corleone calls you an "asset" to the family, he means that in the normal sense, and you're safe.

When Don Corleone says you are "no longer an asset" to the family, you're getting "waived."

That can be forgiven. I mean it's the draft and you never really know...

But trading away Billups was the demise of that team and think about how long ago that was...That team still had a few good years left in it and they won a championship together. You don't break that up not only that you trade away the finals MVP of their championship?

He traded away the spirit of that team. The Pistons were all about teamwork and 5 underrated guys getting it done together...then trade away that player for Iverson?

Morey may not be the only one, but he seems to be the most vocal.
