He traded Nicholas Batum for Joey Dorsey and some other scrub. That set us and Adelman back. So did him announcing Yao's minute cap, those were serious F-ups by your favorite GM
It turned into the Artest deal, so I don't care. Batum is at least a top 10 in most overrated players out there anyways. And after long Yao lasted this year, maybe his minutes should have been limited even more than they already were.
In an effort to make fun of this thread and its creator, I'm attempting to make posts in the style of the creator (only worse).
Im not going to go into every single move Morey has made and back him, but if you think he is a Moron for not re-hiring a coach (yes, his contract was up. It was not a firing.) who wanted to stand pat with the current roster, and was not comfortable making major changes in the future then I dont know what your complaining about. Morey is executing the exact same process that fans on here have been wanting and begging for whether you realize it or not. Adelman did not agree with making major changes going forward. How many times a day do fans get on here and come up with some trade scenario they think will improve the team whether its a good trade or not?? How many fans on here think the current roster can win the title?? Morey is doing exactly what the majority of fans want. Why are people so angry about it? -The Nicholas Batum trade on draft day????.. are you kidding me??? There is only a 36% chance in a NBA draft pick making it in the league for over 5 seasons!! How many draft picks have worked out for him? If by the end of Morey's tenure, less than 36% of his draft picks work out then you can say he is not up to par with other GM's. If a trade like that is your logic for saying an MIT professor is a Moron then so be it. But re-hiring a coach, as good as he is, that is unwilling to accept major changes in personel going forward is not logical for a GM whose boss is demanding to be a contender.
