Actually moes makes me laugh all the time, Carl Herrera probably gets 90% of his reps on laughs.

DD just posts a lot lol

Carl is hit and miss with me, but when he's funny, he's damn funny. I generally don't rep moes for funny. Power posters like DD show the utility of rep. DD posts a lot, but accordingly receives a lot of rep for it.

Mike Harris wasn't drafted. Besides that, he made significant contributions a few years back. Wasn't he MVP of the D-league?

Dorsey was a second round pick. If every GM who made a poor second round pick was labeled as a poor evaluator of talent, there wouldn't be a good one in the league. Morey's track record (especially with second round picks) is well above average.

The only reason why Yao is still even here is because he's still an asset to the rockets even though he's worthless on the court.

As the board knows, I am not a huge fan of either Morey or Moneyball. However, the Brooks trade for Dragic was one of the best he engineered. He fell into the Scola deal, but I will count luck as skill for the sake of argument. The acquisition of Martin was a plus for Morey as well.

Like any GM, Morey deserves praise for his good moves and scorn for his poor ones. IMO he overuses arcane stats and "value" as opposed to skill, height and athleticism. That's why we have a winning but mediocre team.

you can't make that judgement as of yet. With brooks's ankle healed and propper rest/ getting his head together over the summer, something adelman was looking ahead to may just prove you otherwise.

But with how it went down in the two months before the trade, it doesn't matter. Brooks was gone by free agency, period; he wasn't going to stick around and compete with Lowry once Lowry was outed as a legit NBA starter. Healthy Brooks has no value to the Rockets if he bolts. That trade was very literally something for nothing.

Karlfranklin is a moron in the disguise of JCDenton, who is also a moron. The disguise itself is moronic, as is anything they say, do, or create on Clutchfans.

Wow, is the name calling really called for? Morey stays, Adelman goes that's that. The coach has stuck out with his tenure here. Time for a coach that will install a stronger defensive approach.

Your ability to detect a disguise is similar to a 2 year old and you're pretending you're smart.

It's time to let go. Breathe in and out and let go.

There is such a thing called defense, rebounding, and court vision. Dragic is a better all-around PG. End of story.

you don't have to overrate someone like dragic. seriously. I'm not praising brooks, he's done as a rocket and theres nothing we can do about it, but I'll reserve my judgement concerning the trade till next season.

Not sure why your coaching me through a pregnancy exercise though.

I argued at the time of the trade that while Brooks was probably a better individual player, his lack of interest in playing the backup to Lowry and the fact that he would seek to get a big payday (all the more augmented by the fact that he's 26 and PGs like him do not have long lifespans) meant that Dragic fit overall better. And that was before Dragic played somewhat better than I expected and Brooks played much worse than I figured in Phoenix, and continued to act like an idiot on the court.
