It was McDyess's desicion to begin with. We (the rockets) wanted him and so does much of the league too, so we where willing to clear some cap space to sign him and Mutombo. http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2008/11/rockets_pusuing.html Like I said, it came down to McDyess and he didn't choose Houston, but having people like you saying stuff like he shouldn't come hear and his service isn't needed surely didn't help.
