WOW... shows how much you know. Why would Morey even look at him if that were true?

Is he a better rebounder than Scola? yes
Is he a good post defender? yes
Is he a better post defender than Scola or Landry? yes
Is he taller than Chuck Hayes(6'5')?yes
Can he finish above the rim? yes
    Can he play Center? yes

Those are the reason why Morey wants him and I wouldn't mind having him aboard.

Heard that also. Pretty complimentary considering they had Billups, Tayshaun, Rip and Sheed who I would have thought would be the leaders and not Dyess. Not sure if he would be the solution because our problem is an inconsistent Yao and Tmac not Landry and Scola. If these guys don't start playing better we're doomed.

I wouldn't expect somebody polluting this board with your "Trade T-Mac or Artest" brainless crap to have half a clue about understanding chemistry but i'll attempt to break through to you anyway.

Morey wants veteran leadership which is precisely why he's attempting to clear room to bring back Deke and possibly add a player like McDyess.

If the plan all along was to bring Deke back he would have done it before the season started. Why do it now? Because he see's this team for what it is: a supremely talented group with very little leadership, very little poise and the potential to unravel at any moment. Surrounding a volatile bunch like that with savvy veterans is never a bad thing. Especially if one of those big's is a guy like Deke already familiar with the system.

I like McDyess and his leadership would be valuable. All i'm saying is he's not getting minutes over Scola or Landry and playing him at center is a stretch. When you factor in luxury tax implications (something i'll just assume you know nothing about) his leadership and limited minutes become an extremely pricey commodity.

I don't think morey is able to sign both of them, due to the combined effect from luxury tax and the mean les. I still prefer deke even though he's a decade elder than Dyess.(a decade or more, I guarantee) I doubt the validity of McDyess who has a couple of nails in his knee.

    You say this...
    Then it's this...
HAAAAA! What do you know about what he can provide to the team? You obiviously don't see why Morey would even go for Mcdyess do you and you probably don't remember much of last year too huh?

Mutombo didn't even play much last year even with Yao out for injury. He would play some of the first half then it was Landry or Chuck who came in for him the rest of the game. Mutombo was mainly on the team for his leadership and sat on the bench most of the game. Now if you bring in Mcdyess you have a guy that can play a lot of minutes at the Center position or could possibly be apart of a trade to further help the team.

    You are just funny!

that would be cool except the pistons obviously are signin him. they traded for ai cuz they needed a superstar and dice wants to play in detroit.

id love to be wrong on this one. dice can solve our frontcourt problems. and yao can play less minutes. and amir johnson can breakout and help me and other smart people who picked amir johnson to own our fantasy leagues. :)

Luther is just an extra, he's become extra.

I would like to see Francis or at least give him a chance.

As for for McDyess I don't know, he's good post player and physical so I'd like to see his addition but that means we have to trade at least one player (Francis, Luther)

That's fair with me. It's been proven that higher budget doesn't necessarily give a better result.

Frontcourt DEPTH with height. I don't understand why people are against this. He is a very versatile player that can actually play defense and has height. He can be our backup center and if we sign Deke too that is more depth. You can cut Wafer when Battier gets back and try to get McDyess and/or Deke. I would love a veteran presence in our frontcourt whether it is McDyess or Deke. McDyess is not washed up. He has played very well the last couple of years at the PF/C position for a very physical team.

impossible to get mcdyess at this point, however this is interesting as Morey is thinking of upgrading or adding more PF to our roster. This can only mean we are shopping one of them out via trade. Or, maybe Morey think we will need both Hayes and Deke backing up Yao.

Anyone outside of Shaq, McDyess can guard in the West. I'm all aboard if it's a short cheap contract.
