Morey doesn't need to find the next Lebron, he needs to find the next Big Ben/Deke

What is our major malfunction..... defending the paint and rebounding......

We score as well as pretty much anyone in the league, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

Throw in a guy who can rebound, and block shots and i think we're getting there.

It's easier to find a defensive big than a bonafide superstar.

But can we score when it matters most? From off the top of my head, we've only won one or two games in OT. Thats not good any way you look at it. We have failed to come up with buckets late in a lot of our losses. It doesn't matter if we score 120, give up 120 when you fail to score late in games.

The Rockets are not a serious threat until they get a force in the middle and an elite level player. In other words, they need both.

Anyone better than C-bud is already an upgrade at the SF spot, and frankly we already have a ton of low tier assets to make that kind of trade work. Vlad Brad and that forward we got as a throw in are the biggest deadweights on the roster right now, and frankly they aren't even that bad. Since we won't be using these guys anyway, I'm all for trading in some of the players if it gets us a better wing than C-bud.

The Rockets do need a good prototypical C but it doesn't fix that lack of a "superstar" issue.

As much as I despise that guy, I admit, even having LeBron play center is better than having a prime Deke.

If we need rebounds, can we fit Reggie Evans in anywhere? I know he's not going to take care of the shotblocking angle, but dude can rebound as well as anybody this side of K. Love. He's just going to waste away in Toronto as 3rd string behind Amir Johnson and Davis...

You saw that Jimmer guy score 52? Ignore me again at your own peril on this one Rockets. One white guy with so called "upside" missing because of skin color and height is gonna fall to you and he could be the next superstar possible you seek at that position you pick in this years draft. Your only hope to get one that far down almost. Ignore at your peril. Jimmer is gonna be at least good in this league. Very good. You keep on picking those role players though.

A top 3 center nowadays is still nowhere a rich man's Iceman Gerwin(Quote NBA hangtime). MVP like player.

IMO we're 4th or 5th seed and a definite threat with a legitimate, top tier defensive starting center. You shouldn't underestimate how much the lack of such a player is hurting our defense... like Morey said it's nearly impossible to be an above average defensive team without a strong defensive center.

We're already a top 10 offense in the NBA so I definitely think our offense is already at least the caliber to be 5th seed.

We are not better than San Antonio, LA, OKC, or Dallas with a top tier defensive center unless you are talking about Howard so the best you can say we are with one is 5th. And even if we are the 5th seed we are still not on the same level as the 4 teams above us.
