Never doubt Morey. He's one of the few GM's that has his own fan base and for good reason. :grin: Complete retool of the roster and come out with 2 all stars, loads of young talent, and picks WITHOUT tanking? They call that black magic in some places... In Morey we trust.
Morey Turned it around in 3 years after Yao went down. THREE YEARS! with out tanking, without getting bad contracts, without houston being a free agent destination... it's just amazing when you think about it. Has this ever happened without tanking or being one of the franchises ESPN loves?
The whole reason I terminated my lurker status on CF's was to defend Morey contrary to one one might perceive on a July 2012 join date So happy right now wow.
Will Morey go down as the greatest GM in NBA history over the course of the next few years? Is there any doubt? Time to hunt us some HEAT ....

I am Moreys biggest supporter. This is why I never doubted him, when we were at our lowest point (yao retiring, Gasol-basketball reasons trade). A lot of you guys wanted him fired, saying he was overrated, never won anything. Look at him now, morey with the master stroke finally finished his masterpiece. This is for all the Haters. This is why he's the best damn GM in the league.
Thank you Lord for Morey. He has made being a Rockets fan that much bearable and now, he is on the cusp of bringing us to the promised land. I LOVE THE GUY. FAN FOR LIFE. I hope he never leaves the Rockets! side note: He sure has gained a lot of weight since he firs came here as Assistant GM. Probably from the stress of the job. Nevertheless, congratulations Daryl Morel for pulling it off!
I too never doubted him. We got HIGHLY UNLUCKY with the way Yao+TMac worked out after he put a strong supporting cast around them. And he has done an AMAZING job at rebuilding them. And we never even had to tank.
This is a big win not only for Morey but for the stats movement and savvy cap management - two things that are relatively new to the NBA and had come under fire of recent. Congrats to Morey!
I think It was the '09 team with Artest, Battier, Von Hawk, AB, Lowry, Mandry, Deke, Brent, Luis Scola. that made me a believer! If McGrady and Yao were healthy that team would have been just amazing. That supporting cast he assembled was just awesome. I knew then, all he needed were stars and he would be able to get value in the support. I cant wait to see what he puts around Dwight and Harden.
Good Job Morey and the assistants, also to the owner Mr. Alexander....im juiced for next season...and i know Morey got something else up his sleeves, this offseason is far from over.
