Harden and Dwight in consecutive summers. Incredible.

But but but... everyone told me Morey was just a stat geek and had poor relations with players since he low balled players in the past. No way he'd be able to sign a big name free agent.

With this move, Morey may have cemented his position as the top GM in the NBA. 4 years going from the remains of T-Mac and Yao from their untimely demise to having TWO star players in Howard and Harden, potentially a 3rd one coming.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think this possible without hardcore tanking. Sorry Morey for doubting that you could pull it off. Always thought you were a great GM, but always thought you still needed to tank first.

A year ago, the Rockets were a team stuck in the middle with no where to go. Today, we have Dwight and Harden. :')

    Rep to you. Great post.

Houston lost two superstars to injury and managed to get two prime superstars shortly thereafter without ever getting terrible.

While we are excited & cautiously optimistic @DwightHoward might choose Houston, we have not yet heard about his decision

What Morey has done in the last year has to be the greatest GM work the NBA has ever seen. Two top 10 players from that roster. Mind=Blown.

i criticized him a ton in his first 6 years of moving the team laterally.

i have no problem eating crow/giving him huge props now though.

it took a ton of luck along the way, but it's hard as hell to land ONE star. he's landed 2, and possibly a 3rd on the way.

job well done, DM. and a shout out to les for his patience and loyalty as well.

should be fun times ahead, folks.

It really is incredible what he's done.

We replaced a broken down core with a brand new in virtually no time. That takes some teams years to do.

Plus, we've had a .500 or above team throughout the whole time.

Man how far have we came from July 2012....

One year ago we had no star, no PG, NOTHING.

And now we have Jeremy Lin (though i'm not his biggest fan he is a young and promising PG)
James Harden (arguably the best SG in the game, SO YOUNG, a BEAST and unselfish)
Omer Asik (the underrated Turk worker)
DWIGHT HOWARD (the best center IN THE LEAGUE)

and of course Chandler Bang, our Shane Battier 2.0

Seriously, Daryl Morey, I never doubted you, and i'm happy for you. A lot of hard work finally paying off.

Absolutely amazing that that we went from losing two superstars to having two more superstars in such a short period of time.

    Great job DM.

I've already tweeted Darryl and congratulated him on his success. We truly are blessed we have an owner and GM with the talent and vision to make days like today happen.

Think about where we were 1 year ago today.....and now....

    Crazy.
