I'm glad we didn't trade for Dwight. For once, Les needs to let our young team grow together on it's own with what we have right now and now rent a player for half a year. We can find a star center in the draft next year.

Afflalo, Moe Harkless, Vucevic + 3 non-lottery picks isn't great (much worse than the Hornets or Jazz got in their trades). BUT we don't know yet if that's final. The report was that there are other sweeteners going to the Magic.

ALSO, we don't know what was Morey's best offer.
Some fans here suggested the Rockets should offer something like two youngster + Toronto pick + take a bad contract.
The Lakers deal is better than that.

Harrington is only partially guaranteed, not a huge problem.
Dropping Turkoglu or Duhon is great if they were the Knicks.
But they ought to rebuild through youth and tanking, not through free agency.

They'll be a 20-30 win team for the next few years, try to win the lottery, and Vucevic / Afflalo are solid.
Not great. Probably better than Morey's offer, though.

Lamb alone is probably better than literally every player in that deal.

People blaming Morey for this are laughable.

    agreed

These teams keep taking less from other teams, instead of more from Morey to trade their stars

Look at the first CP3 trade that got revoked, and then look at it after

We gave up Gogi, Scola, Martin, plus the knicks pick, and we the Lakers gave up Odom, and 2 future first.. and the Hornets turned that down.. for a washed up Kaman, and Eric Gordon

so the Rockets hope. a 76ers fan will say that Vucevic is more talented than any player on the Rockets roster.

come on, in hindsight, it was the right decision for the Hornets. They ended up with Davis instead of being a marginal playoff team.

even Davis aside, they have Eric Gordon and Austin Rivers from that trade.

They also could've got Scola through amnesty and signed Dragic if they wanted to, but they just didn't.

    It's a nobrainer.

You do know that Lamb hasn't played a single NBA game right? I love our rookies but we realllllly sell them too high sometimes.

    Very bad logic.

First, by all accounts Eric Gordon was leaving ASAP. It has been reported numerous times. Davis changes things.
It is nothing short of a minor miracle NO got Davis. They had a very small chance at the #1 pick.
The Minnesota pick would have been much higher had Rubio not gone down with a season ending injury.

The Scola amnesty is using extreme hindsight. In any case, you are acting as if Scola does not have value. Dragic was very good last year. NO would have kept him easily had he been traded to NO. There is no way Dragic has anything but positive value, especially on his old deal. Phoenix overpaid. NO lucked out with the 10th pick to draft another guard.

By your logic, how do you know Martin wouldn't have had his best year last year for NO? You don't.

    Please dont be a tool.

i'm not sure I follow you. They were a low playoff seed and were trading Chris Paul. Of course they weren't going to get great.

Those players they would have gotten back in the 1st deal would have made them a playoff team

76er's will implode soon. Lakers will be amazing, Orlando made out worse, Denver stayed the same.

Im getting on the Suns bandwagon so I can cheer for the Rockets across the NBA

This is excellent news for the Rockets and their future...knew that Dwight was gonna bolt out of Houston regardless of this season outcome...and at least we have something that is better than starting at the very bottom...we are armed with the best collection of picks from this years draft...Martins expiring contract...plus numerous picks in the near distant future...

Hennigan decided to do what was best for Howard...and not what was best for his team...and he will regret it...guaranteed...may be fired by next season...

The 76ers got the best deal. The dumped iggy's contract got bynum and gave up a few scrubs and low picks.
