Folks are running out of excuses. They avoid criticizing the team. Suddenly they go and find more inexplicable excuses or go on a hate tirade against fellow CFs who are more realistic and keepin it real. The Clippers look the parts and look hungry. They minimize their mistakes and have the confidence of winning over the Spurs, the Champs. If they cannot see it, can't help them.
The Clippers have not had CP3 during this series. The sooner the apologists realize that, the sooner real discussions can begin.
He also spent a considerable amount of time on twitter claiming that we were, even managed to get into a battle with Barkley. Stats can be used to tell the truth, as well as mislead people.
Really? Who's been wearing his jersey the past two games? It's not about being an apologist, it's accepting the truth that the Clippers are a better team and we have simply not matched out well with them over a 4 year span. So you ready to have a discussion?
We got the personal (minus the PG position) but we just don't have the execution and consistency. Morey assembled a long, athletic, switching team that has been at the forefront of great defenses like LBJ's Miami team, Warriors, Bulls, and Bucks. We switch and trap with the best of them, but just don't maintain it.
That point and the ones made earlier still went over your head. Do some more thinking before making excuses left and right.
Because we were doing well at the time and overachieving with our injury situation. We can fire McHale and that would only hurt Les's pocketbook next season as McHale would be owed money. At this point, I can't support McHale as the head coach.
You're making the mistake of confusing excuses with explanations. What point was being made? Let me pick it apart and show you the truth.
We don't have a 3pt specialist on the team - we had a couple of potentials - in Canaan, and Daniels, but we gave them away. Morey built a team that relies on the 3ball without some good 3pt shooters. Maybe DMo will continue to improve and be that stretch 4 we need. DD
Morey deserves criticism for the pg issues of this team and for signing josh smith. Also obviously for keeping mchale and not at the very least pursuing top assistants for the team. As far as losing to LA, they've been bounced in the second round every year since Chris Paul has been there. So they've had a little more experience. I'm not overly saddened by that. The way we give up is a huge issue though. We made some progress this year, but not enough for Morey to be devoid of criticism. He shares in the blame. Another major worrying point is that this team does not pull together when things get tough. Instead they look like they don't even like playing with each other.
Don't forget building a team that relies on free throws yet we have some of the worst free throw shooters in the league in the rotation.
Whats even worse than your arrogance is the stupidity you use it to mask. You were the same guy that was on my ignore list earlier and a die hard supporter of Mchale. Same narrative then, only now I guess you can't support him any longer? I repeat...If you actually need to me to list out the points AGAIN...or the points everybody else has made you are voluntarily sticking your head in the sand and singing a tune to help you sleep easier. At this point, after most of us have been saying the same thing year after year and have been proven right, nobody gives a flying **** about your endless koolaid slurping. You live in the dark if you want. Maybe someone with more patience will help you put the training wheels on or w.e.
DudeWah , you're right that they do have more experience. I'm not really saddened by us losing...its HOW we're losing. It really blows away any notion of this team being close to a contender. Thats what bothers me the most. The problems we have can't be fixed by signing a 3rd star etc...what the FO keeps telling us.
This roster needs vast improvements. Win or lose this series I would the rox to address the following issues. 1. Starting caliber PG. 2. Consistent shooters 3. A pick and pop PF 4. Screw flexibility- we are in a win now mode
And what did Canaan and Daniels do for their respective teams after being traded that showed they were in fact NBA 3-pt specialists?
Comparing the starting fives of the Rockets and Clippers you would have to give a huge advantage to the Clippers at the point and the four, maybe a push at center and small forward, advantage Rockets at the two spot. I think you also would have to say the Clippers have the coaching advantage. The only chance the Rockets had in this series was for their bench to outplay the Clippers, and not only has that not happened, but the Clippers bench has significantly outplayed the Rockets. The Clippers are just a better team.
