For DM to look at Rashad and Beck first, Green MUST be hopeless... It is freaking amazing to me that a guy that is 6-8, with god given "elite" athleticism, and a super-silky-smooth jump shot, has no place in the NBA. You gotta question his heart, his effort, and his brain.
That jump shot's no good if you don't know where to get the ball, that athleticism is no good if you can't get to the rim. Too bad he can't just dunk from the freethrow line every play....
Is this wing named Romel Beck which was mentioned on the other thread? Hope Morey has a trade in the works..maybe thabo sefolosha or someone else..
yea i assume green but hes just like a more nba version of james white, love the atheleticism but i hope he brings more to the team.
Riiiiiiiight... 'cause Adelman and Morey were so obviously impressed with him when he was here a couple of years ago.
To be fair, he was let go because of Landry going down and we wanted another 'big' so to say... So we went with someone who knew the system and could play the 4 'sortof'
That's one view. Another view is that he was let go because he's just not an NBA-caliber player on SOME level. The Rockets aren't the only team to arrive at that same conclusion. Boston, Minnesota and Dallas all thought he wasn't worth keeping. What exactly has he done this summer to make all of you think he's suddenly capable?
