An example of why "lack of motivation" shouldn't be the final determinant on a player in the draft is Kenny Thomas. The whole offseason post draft every sports outlet in Houston was bashing the choice because Kenny had a "lack of motivation". He's one of the hardest working players on the court for the Rockets so I don't know if the motivation factor should be the only reason to not draft a guy.
