Having 3 and 6, whoever gets them, is simply an outstanding opportunity. Two picks that high can change the direction of a franchise. Memphis has a golden opportunity to put themselves on the map. Assuming the highschollers start...I believe they will make an impact early on. Seven footers have a way of doing that. Bibby is good enough to keep. Reeves can and will sit on the bench if need be. It happens all the time. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
Seven footers have a way of doing that Oh, that's good to know. Someone tell Kelvin Cato and Jason Collier. ------------------ Newbiehad... coming to a bbs near you, October 31st.
I wonder if Rodney White would be available at #6. ESPN Insider posted the Bulls' pipe dreams; if Krause thinks he can engineer Payton/Houston/Camby/Webber, then I also wonder if the Bulls would trade with us. If the organization takes a reality check, it would become apparent that the #4 alone will not meet the team's needs...but I'll settle for #6 if we can grab Battier or White. On another note, Vancouver might take our draft picks in some fashion or another...maybe in a 3-way trade with Washington (if the Wizards can grab White and we can grab Kwame). But anything and nothing are both possible, so I'll leave the Oeilpere "RING" remark for others to decipher. ------------------
Couldn't the Grizzlies try to send #6 to the Pistons to close out the Otis Thorpe deal? Last I checked. Pistons could use a SF, too, and then use #9 to pick a center (Diop or Haywood?). ------------------
