We missed a lot of wide open shots Holic. We got burnt by the Nets sharp shooters. Joe had a field day on mainly Harden , post up moves, mid range and three after 3. But to me what lost us thie game , was the 2nd chance points. The Nets also came up with all the loose balls. Another factor; we missed a **** load of point blank shots.

definitely true not in this game but other games it seems as though sometimes when the ball comes off the opponents rim our guys feet are glued to the floor and they are frozen and the other team jumps to where the ball is gets it while our team is still in place and they go up uncontested. man that is frustrating.

Casspi missed some wide open shots. He was about the only one. I take that back....Canaan missed a few open looks too. But Parsons, Garcia, Hamilton, even Harden were contested really well on the perimeter. The Nets faded off our 4 man and he didn't get it going. That's going to be the recipe for teams playing us in the playoffs. They're gonna sag off the 4 man and let him shoot. They won't run out on him (no matter who it is) unless he starts knocking them down.

Yes, Joe had a field day against Harden. That's why I said the proper matchup for Joe was Chandler. It was obvious in the first half that neither Harden nor Lin nor Casspi nor DMo nor anybody else had a chance against him. And it was obvious that Pierce was going to torch DMo after about the first 2 possessions and it was obvious shortly after that that Pierce was going to school Casspi as well. It was also obvious that Lin was no match for Livingston. He's giving up almost half a foot on Livingston. Why we never changed the matchups is a mystery to me.

Coaching and players manning up is all I can say. We were still in striking distance when Harden sat for the 1st 4 minutes of the 4th.

He sure did, but he was straight up and down on at least 3 of those.

In the 2nd half the Nets killed us on the second chance points. In the 1st half we owned the 2nd chance points.

Indeed that **** be frustrating the he33 out of me to.

You didn't see him nearly fall over trying to walk off the court last night after the 1st quarter? The guy has the flu or something pretty bad. He got sent to the locker room I think after the 1st quarter.

I dont think he really should have played, or been around the team (to keep others from catching it), but I think McHale wanted to get a few minutes out of him just to limit D-Mo and Casspi's minutes in case D-Mo got in foul trouble again.

So I predicted during this thread that Garcia would likely be taking all the minutes in our small ball rotation. That seems to be true now. The guy just comes alive during this time of the season and McHale seems to have more trust in him to deliver at this time. His recent performances have been warranting it as well.

He was big in the playoffs. I still remember that game where we came back from that huge deficit and he led it with all those 3s. If KD hadn't had that lucky bounce on the back of the rim we would have won...

    MORE TJO & DMO PLEASE!!!!

I dont care how crappy of a defender Ryan Kelly is.

If I want to feel excited about Jones scoring 33 pts on 13 of 18 shots taken, in 32 minutes, going 1 for 1 from 3, and shooting 75% from the FT line I will.

Maybe Jones struggles in the playoffs, and maybe he doesn't, but anyone here that isn't excited about the growth of TJones, or is letting some douche on here with a campaign against him convince that Jones & D-Mo don't have the potential to be great Houston Rockets for a long, long time, can just suck it, and go bury your head in the sands of Galveston beach.

In what sick sad world would you ever get scolded for praising a player who kicked A#$ against the Lakers? I dont care if its the Lakers towel boy vs. Harden. The Lakers played very hard in the first half, and Jones/Harden and co. took the wind out of their sails in the 3rd quarter like any good team should do.

That is cause for celebration, and I'm glad our young STAR (Yes, I'm gonna go ahead and say it just to piss people off) has enough sand in his pants to not roll over and take the night off when a lesser opponent comes in hot, and it seems like its their night.

Hats off the Terrence Jones, Harden, D-Mo, Asik, & Co. for kicking the crap out of the Lakers. Cause if you can't enjoy a win against the Lakers, you are just a sad sad person and you need to get the hell out of the GARM.

Oh... and Terrence Jones is really good at basketball.

Wish I would have seen the third quarter. Run one little errand during halftime/third quarter and the game is over by the fourth.

At the end of that run Webber, and Miller were literally speechless and laughing. Harden buried 2 pull up threes like it was a layup and Reggie just goes "Wow".

Valiant effort by the Lakers in the 1st half, but the Rockets just simply took care of business emphatically in the 3rd. It was glorious.
