There is also one standing outside the cantina in the original, it doesn't move like in the special edition. I might be wrong but I believe there was a close-up photo of a sandtrooper sitting on a dewback that was maybe in the book, etc., but actually wasn't in the movie. So that helped their popularity also.
does anyone know where I can find the set the cheapest? so far compusa has it for 39.99 which is a really good deal.
I wouldn't care if all he did was touch up the effects, but that's not all he's doing. He re worked the scene in the cantina where Han shoots Greedo first. That scene used to show that Han was a bad ass, he shot this guy before he tried to bring him to Jabba, instead, he changes it to Han shooting 2nd in self defense. It just looks really weird too if you watch it slowly. Putting Hayden Christiansen in there at the end of Jedi is another silly thing. Or replacing Boba Fett's voice with the guy who played Jango Fett. I mean, we aren't stupid, we know that the continuity isn't going to be perfect When you start making the first half of the story 16 years after you made the last film in the story. The only continuity he should have been worried about should have been in the actual story. I don't know if you meant it this way, but Proust was never going to voice Vader. It is fun watching those behind the scenes cips with his dialogue still there. Can't believe that a huge guy like that would have such a weak voice.
