If listening to local radio is any indication, baseball and football are way more popular than basketball in Houston. I personally disagree, but that's what I'm basing my theory on.
You mean you don't want to hear Rich Lord talk about the Texans and what constitutes a good season next here for the next 5 months? I know I can't turn it off!
You do realize you can turn on Twitter and see that Brian Williams just ate a bowl of Cheerios right? He's just doing what every other celebrity, like DD, is doing.
Careful people... Don't knock the possibility of him going to LA just yet. Someone posted a podcast of Bill Simmons talking with some sportswriter, and they were throwing around rumors. The guy said that according to two inside sources, the Bosh to LA deal was practically done. Straight up S&T; Bosh for Bynum.
Football is unquestionably more popular than any other sports in Houston. But baseball and basketball are interchangeable here. The only reason you hear more baseball stuff is because they've had more recent success. When your team can't get out of the 1st round for over a decade, not much for casual fans to get interested in.
When was that podcast and when where the inside sources contacted? They could be talking about an inside tip from weeks ago and are just recycling it now. Toronto has to be worried about Bynum's injury and the chance of him being injury prone. Also, if LA wins a ring again and bynum plays a role it would be difficult to break that up. There would be HUGE pressure to not just repeat, but repeat more convincingly. Also, they'd be left without a traditional center and that may end up hurting them in the long run. And Bosh definitely won't be the franchise guy in LA. He'll be riding kobe's coattails for the most part and his numbers would take a dramatic hit next to all those "star" players.

Isn't it obvious. It's no coicidence everywhere sounds alot like Neverland. And Neverland is up for sale and Chris Bosh is a big Michael Jackson fan and he recently visited LA wearing this outfit. You only have to put 2 + 2 together.
How do they compare to: Aeros = I have no idea how they a doing Astros = sucks Rockets = just missed the playoffs (by 8 or 9 games) Texans = just missed the playoffs by 1 game Dynamo = inconsistant at best GOD I SO DPRESSED ALL OF A SUDDEN!
Damn, at first I read Morey signs Chris Bosh. Anyways, I thought it was already a general consensus that he was leaving anways?
Hasn't this already been brought up and discussed in the numerous other "Chris Bosh" threads? http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4s5pmFL_ZlQ/SHdtOzgVlPI/AAAAAAAABBA/ISeQdDwlFrE/s320/r****ds+guns++motivational+poster+posters+inspirational+funny+demotivational+hot++humorous+pictures+images+girls+babes+www.motivationalpostersonline.blogspot.com.jpg
lol Made me almost spill my coffee when I read that. Anyway, Chris Bosh can go anywhere and it seems as if the Rockets are the most interested and have the most to offer in a sign and trade..
If Bosh were to get involved in a sign and trade with the Lakers then that necessarily isnt the worst thing in the world for the Rockets. Yes we dont get our "star player" this year, but that might be a blessing in disguise. This being because Bynum would almost certainly be the piece that would have to be moved. That match up of Gasol/Bynum is what destroys the Rockets and most other Western Conference teams. Not that he is a better player but Chuck Hayes can defend Bosh very well in the post, and we have good perimeter defense as well if he is hot from outside. That being said I do not believe Bosh would really want to play for the Lakers and the Lakers would probably think his play mirrors that of Lamar Oden and Oden would make about 1/3 of what Bosh makes.
Oh man, I worked at a client site at that tall white rectangular building (with the antenna on top) for 7 long months last year...
I feel nauseous. I'm not even sure if getting Bosh makes them a better team, but the sheer idea of them getting yet ANOTHER superstar on their team just flat out isn't fair.
