    Rowdy Roddy Piper bruh.

Respect your opinion. Movies have evolved a lot since then. Not the first time I’ve heard a first-time watch be a letdown.

What sort of crap are you looking at on the web that made the algorithms suggest that to you?

That’s funny I had his wrestling figure when I was kid but was too young to watch him live and didn’t recognize him without the kilt and bagpipe

The movie wasn’t bad, I kind of like it, but the acting and special effects were ROUGH lol

    • I follow this guy. He's one of my favorite 'new' authors (that I've recently discovered). His John Dies at the End books aren't like any sci-fi I've ever read.
    • He's also very funny. He was the editor of Cracked.com for 10-15 years
    • I do look at a lot of AI stuff, so this would have been in my algo for that
    • While the reels is relevant to this thread, the whole thing is really just a setup for a joke at the end. Many of his reels are setups for jokes at the end

Is that the same book that "John Dies in the End" movie is based on?

It was low budget and made
In the 80’s so shouldn’t expect much special effects wise.

They Live is in the traditions of dystopian movies where reality isn’t what you thinking is and there are secret forces controlling things.
It should be considered with moves like Invasion of the Body snatchers and even The Matrix.

I haven’t watched it yet. I don’t want to tarnish the book.

    Reboot candidate with Marky Mark?

Who buys that for a Kickstarter dollar?

Rowdy Roddy Piper is a better actor than Marky Mark.
