Have you ever been messed with? Ignore the action that the perpetrator usually will go away.

I don't think these people are withholding any more extreme ways to grab attention. They're kind of all-or-nothing.

    The JV team strikes again.

Ignore them? Yeah that will work.

They won't ignore us. They aren't in this because they are momentarily pissed at us. They are in this to change the world. They can't succeed, but unfortunately THEY don't think that.

    And they aren't gonna stop.

In the meanwhile our manchild emperor is in Havana, enjoying a baseball game and yucking it up with comrade Raul. God helps us all.

Unsecured area of an airport. Good place to target foreigners in a packed space where you don't look out of place carting in several carting in a hundred pounds of explosives.

There are several pages about this in D&D. My comment is down there in the Basement, if anyone wishes to see it, or comments from several other folks.

Ignoring something and becoming desensitized to it is very different.

Besides, in my experience, ignoring something does NOT make it go away - the perpetrator is emboldened until you do something about it. Unless you are talking about attention seeking children, in which case ignoring them is most likely the best response.

I'm not deterred or one of those people paranoid about traveling abroad, but with a wife and especially child no chance is too small to make me a bit more apprehensive. I agree the low odds and randomness makes it not worth thinking about in general.

But after listening to analysts on the news throughout the day, this event did open my eyes to the fact that the airport is a good concentrated area to target foreigners (international sections). But I'm always in a rush to get through the security lines anyways so not much changes for me.

I agree with the principle, but it's tougher (nigh impossible) in these terroristic scenarios because people are dying. It's one thing getting mugged or bullied and breaking a few bones, ending a life is a completely different matter.

These were at the check in lines right? Another good reason for curbside service. Such a vulnerable target. As I mentioned earlier the combination of factors makes it obvious.

What would you rather he'd have done on Tuesday? Rush to Belgium? Get back to DC? To do what? To do what that can't be done from the various cities/countries he is in/going to be in?

I'm just trying to understand the thought process when I hear people take issue with the POTUS continuing on with his planned schedule.

TSA will soon implement the departure area of airports for passengers only. Say your goodbyes outside.
