I heard the bell ring about 4 times, only answered it twice. I didn't even have candy :( . It feels bad to tell the kids: "Sorry, no candy tonight...please don't egg our cars...:("

Hehehehe....after the storm came through, I was certain I would get no trick or treaters. Had a couple of brewpops and fell asleep on the sofa around 9:00 PM. At 9:20, there's a BANG BANG BANG on my door....I stumbled around, turning the alarm off, getting my keys to unlock the door, grabbing the bag of candy.

It was a total of four trickortreaters, out with their Mom who was driving them around in their minivan.

After that, I made sure the porch light was turned off, and I crashed out.

So...my total was a whopping 4 trickortreaters. Anyone want some frozen butterfingers? :D

We had exactly one-- a 1 1/2 YO boy named David four houses down the street. We are on a dead-end road; most of the kids on this road are too old for trick-or-treating. Not too many outsiders come into a "neighborhood" comprised of one dead-end street.

We ended up only having around 30. Both of the older boys went to richer neighborhoods and came back with little (other than an occational full size candy bar). I took my daughter and her friend around our neighborhood and they cleaned up. Since it was light for us, they were unloading into the 2 cutie's sacks. After 1 hour of TT, they wanted to quit because their sacks were causing their shoulders to go numb since it was so heavy. They had a good 15 lbs of good candy with only 2 hard candies, 0 candy corn, 5 tootsie rolls and 3 of those orange wrapped junk. I asked which house those orange things came from and they remembered. Even at 45, receiving those things makes me want to go back and "trick".

Around 10:30PM, I still hadn't had a single trick or treater arrive at my house. Maybe cause I have a crazy gate in front of it, but anyways around 10:35 I see a car pull up. I can tell these ppl are obviously not from our neighborhood. Out of the car pops, two little girls maybe 3 or 4 year olds. I decide to give them each a whole box of Baby Ruth. If this were another year, I would have eaten the candy myself, but this is the new Mr. Brightside- I don't eat chocolate.

So all in all, I got two trick or treaters.

    We had just over 100.

And we closed up at the busiest time to take our little ones around the block. If we'd stayed open, we would have had another 50 or so.

The whole neighbourhood was mobbed with kiddies. At 8:30, the neighbours closed the street for a big fireworks show.

Pretty cool, overall. Despite the rain.

    :D

My front door has one of those locks that's keyed on the inside and outside. Same with the door from my garage to my kitchen.

And yes....I am a very creepy dude!

    :D
