If Jordan Hill is rated # 6 - 7 on Morey's draft board based on pure skills alone...

    ...

I think our roster is fully set once Yao Ming comes back.

We're deep at practically every position if Jordan Hill can put on 15 - 20 pounds on his frame and get center training from CD, Sikma, Yao and Chuck....

P.S. Obligatory "More is god, genius and machine" shout...

If Im not mistaken I read before last years draft something along the lines of Hill being a bit of a party guy. It could have been another player and I could be wrong. Skill wise he's definetly there in the top 6/7. I remember recently Thorpe from ESPN reported in an article that last years top 10 picks produced only 3 guys who finished in the top 10 in player effeciency rating and those guys were Tyreke Evans, Stephen Curry and Jordan Hill. If Hill and Patterson are paired together as part of the rockets 2nd unit, they should wreak havoc for oppossing teams.

I read the same thing and my impression is that Hill made the mistake of openly saying he likes to go out and have a good time. Yes, all dudes in college do the same thing, but apparently you're supposed to keep that to yourself. I'm not worried about him. Jordan is no freakin' Dorsey.

Ariza is a good stepup shooter and really athletic, it makes him a good extra option as defenses rotate off better players (see 2009 finals), but he has no ability to penetrate defenses, hence why he's a really good $5-6m player and not more.

At this point, I am not entirely certain the Ray Lewis of Basketball has more basketball skills than the real Ray Lewis.

From me to you I watch all the games I can mostly on the internet last year because I live in Alaska and we got no love on national television. I can tell you a we have a ton of talent on this team. Morey has done great job acquiring skilled players. CBud would have been lottery had he not stayed in college to improve his game and it hurt him.
If we can acquire another legit star with preferably one with scoring we'll be top team in the west preseason rankings guaranteed.
Another thing to be noted is that this team has great chemistry they've been through many battles and faced much adversity together. Lots of big game experience on that roster.
And another thing I can tell you is most people have a love hate relationship with the players so their opinions fluctuates more then Oprah's weight.

    Great post Bima!

Nice to hear that Ariza is our 4th most coveted player by other teams, shows that he's doing something right.

Next time you see DM, ask him which other FA he is targeting if Bosh falls through.
