I think it's more interesting to speculate whether Yao Jr. or Oden Jr. will win more championships 40 years later.
Philly will promptly trade away their right to draft Oden + their entire starting lineup to get Yao Ming.
Oden is probably the most overrated athlete in the world since barry bonds, wayne grietzky, joe montana and dwight howard!
ODEN is as OVERHYPED as the PS3 peopling waiting in line to get a hold of THE HYPE but realize is NOT WORTH AS MUCH
PTI is my favorite show on ESPN. The non regular viewers need to understand that in the game "Toss Up", the two guys are supposed to argue both sides to make it interesting. Wilbon respects Yao, trust me. Meanwhile, Tony Cornheiser has referred to Yao as a "stick figure" since his rookie year, while Wilbon defends Yao consistently. Bob Ryan chose Yao in this discussion, so that's why Wilbon had to choose Oden. There's no need to disrespect others because they didn't side with the "good guys". Ironically, it is possible that Oden could win a title before Yao. I mean, freaking Darko Milicic in his rookie year "earned" a ring rotting on the bench with the Pistons. Timing is everything.

Its funny how before yao played a minute in the NBA critics like charles barkley were betting on if Yao would ever score more than 19 points in a game and now theyre betting on how many championships he'll win. Yet before Oden plays it is assumed that he will take the league by storm and win multiple championships. Just goes to show you these analysts don't know crap. On the bright side, atleast the respect level for yao is where it should be with the main stream media.
All current top Lottery bound franchises except the Sixers...MEM, CHA, ATL, SEA...have decent teams. And the Bulls have the Knicks' unprotected 2007 1st (Curry trade). Oden may not be a lock to win a championship, but it's not a lock he'll windup on a terrible team.
just for info, wilbon was arguing for oden just to play devil's advocate. he's really a big fan of yao, since he was a rookie.
It doens't matter where Oden ends up. Question is, IS he that good? He is big and dunks alot. Does that make him the next best thing to slice bread? It took Yao 4 years to get to this point. How long will it take Oden? Does Oden do anything other than dunk? It's not that easy to dunk in the NBA unless you are Stromine (Suns). Is Oden that quick? I bet Charles Barkley thinks Oden is the best and will score more than 19 points in his first year. You think? He should be kissing more you know whats.
at least get the spelling right. your advice on posting is noted and will receive the full attention it deserves.
Championships are hard to come by. I would guess that the odds are better that neither will ever win an NBA title than that they will.
