On Windows 7 with Chrome Version 43.0.2357.124 m. Starting today, the ads when they start to play scroll the page so that the ads can be seen. Hilarity ensues when the ad at the top and the bottom battle over the scroll position. Reading threads has become impossible.
I am having the same issue with Chrome on a Macbook. Seems like the ads force the scroll to focus on them when they autoplay which prevents one from reading the thread. When I scroll away, it forces me back. Is there a way to disable autoplay ads? Or turn off the auto-focus?
Ok I'm glad it not just me. If someone can find a solution to this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm sorry about this -- I've been out of town. I think the problem is coming from video ads again. They don't appear to play audio, but I call them "endless video ads" -- one ad loads but it continuously loops in video commercials. This has been a problem where ad publishers sneak in these ads past ad network filters (which we have in place -- we don't want ads like this). I found the network where this is taking place and have contacted them.
I think this is an ad issue, but I keep getting a pop up asking if I want to open js.js (6.84 KB) from pixel.mathtag.com on my computer. Has happened on a few pages like the David West signing with the Spurs thread, and now this La Bouche/Be my lover thread Is this an ad or some browser plugin issue that's showing up? I'm using IE 11.0900 Spoiler
Keep getting mystery ads running in the background with just audio only. Most recently, Southpaw movie ads. There doesn't appear to be an active visible ad that matches the audio. The site pages seem especially slow loading today, which is not the norm. Is it me or do others get this as well?
I keep getting ads on my phone saying I'm getting a virus. Android lollipop. I know it's not a real virus.
Hi! I'm having an ad problem. I have Windows 10 and am getting ClutchFans via Chrome. A KXAN ad keeps babbling audio nonsense over and over again regardless of the forum. I'll mute the damn thing and as soon as I change pages or forums, it starts the audio mumbo-jumbo again. Hope this can be fixed! This is very unusual, at least for me, as I rarely have these kinds of problems with the site. edit: now I have 2 KXAN ads going at once in "stereo." Help!
Just to add more--I've been getting autoplaying ads at the bottom of pages for a number of days now. It slows down my browser more than any other page and sometimes crashes it. (Using the most up-to-date version of Chrome on Win10)
Anybody else having problems with CF crashing not only their browser but their computer entirely? seems only to happen when I'm on CF, has happened multiple times in the past couple of weeks. Working on a Macbook Pro and using Firefox 45.0.1.
i use firefox and for the last few weeks clutchfans keeps freezing up on me too...not crashing, but super slow.
Yes, I have... seems to consistently happen in the Evan Drellich Astros thread of all places. Yet another reason to hate the guy. I'm limiting my time on here till it gets fixed... but good to hear its not just my computer (also a macbook pro).
