I would like to see Moochie go, particularly for some guys who can defend and rebound. What i think is that moochie and KT got to seattle in a sign-and-trade for Rashard and then we sign Charles Oakley. This move may not be popular, but oakley could be a great help here. He rebounds, bangs, plays hard-nosed defense and he can even hit the 18-foot jump shot. I saw him defend Shaq very well last season when he was with the Bulls. Overall, I think that Moochie needs to go, and for us to give either Tierre and/or Tito a shot at the backup point. For a backup point, shooting 600 shots is absurd, and, yes, i know he did satrt a lot of games, but all he can really do is create for others and penetrate the lane. For just that, Moochie is overpaid. I know he's a fan favorite, but these moves, in my opinion, would be in the best interests of the team, and, in the end, that's all that counts.
I agree that we shouldn't trade Mooch, as long as he stops dribbling like a mad man. Rudy has to sit him down and tell him that he can't waste the clock. I think that Mooch will be better about his dribbling next season.
If you can get crazy value out of the guy, I say get a new billboard. However, I don't think he needs to move unless in is a necessity for a big trade.
Leehoang, you said it, HE IS A BACK UP!!!!! A BACK UP does not deserve that kind of money. He is worth the money, but not to us. We already have a guy that we are going to be paying $100mill to play the same position. And I don't remember who said it but he was money at the buzzer. But you might not be in a situation to have to win at the buzzer if you don't commit 42- 24second violations. ( I know 42 is a little over the top, but you get the picture

His value's high, and his contract is too long. We can not afford to have backups signed to guaranteed long-term contracts. Francis, Mobley, Nachbar, Griffin, and Ming all must get their contracts. That's starter money for all of them soon. Let's say that's around an average of 8M per player. That's 8x5=40. That's 40M tied up in starters salary. The salary cap is around 42M I believe. So basically, we'll have however much the cap increases to in 3 years or so to sign backups. Which means the smart thing to do would be having 2 rookies with tiny contracts, and 2 veterans, one for a decent contract, one for the minimum. We don't want to become the Clippers. Take care of the future. We have to remove Mo T and Moochie from the mix. They're not essential, and we need the cap space. I was thinking if Seattle moves Gary Payton, then both Moochie and MoT would be very valuable to them. Maybe in a 3-way, we can send them Mooch and MoT, get Tyrone Hill, and Seattle can send Brent Barry and baggage to Cleveland. Barry is the perfect guard to complement Wagner. Tyrone Hill's contract is one year, 10M. That's perfect for us. In a year, when Hill is gone, and Griffin is dominant, his backup can be anyone who can give us a decent 10 minutes.
I wish someone would have sent me the memo whe 22 million dollars over 6 years is overpriced in the NBA for someone like Mooch....If anything its a fair deal.
