Oh no, no more washed-up-old-ex-knick signing.

Who knows, maybe getting a Macy's Lamp will set off a lightbulb with JVG and make him realize he needs to change his scheme.

The rockets actually had to pay to unload Moochie (cash considerations). That means there is definitely something in the works. Its an odd situation. Even though its Moochie we're talking about here, its unusual to see a trade go down between two teams who are battling for a playoff spot in the same division.

isnt there some kind of restriction as to trading a player we just recently acquired? if so, then lampe isnt going anywhere but someone clear it up for me. i know when we signed stro, da, and etc they couldnt be traded until a certain deadline....same thing applies?

Yes, it looks like the Rocket bought a trade exception. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm no cap master. But it certainly seems like something else will go down. Why else would Les send the Hornets cash? Hurricane relief?

I would have to agree. We need another big with 6 fouls in the west, Sura is coming back after the All-Star supposedly and I'm not sure he has had that much playing time thus far so his future is still yet to be decided.

And I don't see anywhere where it says he was an ex-knick so please let that sleeping dog lie....

Isn't this one of the guys that the Hornets got from the Suns in exchange for Jim Jackson? Does that mean we got, like, a rebate from the Wesley trade?

    I totaly agree with this.

The TE is HUGE in a deal soon to happen..combine that with DA going...I do think we see a decent player comeing our way.

What if the Rockets DON'T use the TE this season and just traded for it to use it for next season? Wouldn't THAT suck.

Maybe the TE is going to be used somehow to acquire Flip Murray...

They probably had to the difference in salaries so the trade would get approved.
Hornets got their backup point, Rocks turned around 8 mill luxury tax into around 2 mill?

    Excellent trade !

You trade a player who is 32yrs old and rarely sees any playing time for
a young 20yr old prospect who is on the books for one more year and you
get a 3.4mil trade exception. Low risk High reward and trade exception.

Maybe Rockets is only trading with teams who have cap room?
