Most probably before the all-star break, which is only a few days away. Specific enough? ;)

Could it be that they are shopping Stro along with DA for a possible 2 or three, or both? The move could be a cost cutting, or it could be compensating at the 4.

I don't believe trade exceptions can be combined with other trade exceptions and/or player salaries in a trade. If DA and the TE are traded for player X on team Y, the following actually occurs:

The TE (3mil) is traded for player X (salary 3 mil) on team Y.
Team Y trades 1.6 mil of TE back for DA.

I wonder if this guy is going to get any playing time. He might be a pawn for a major trade coming up w/ the Rockets.

Great, "ma-chick" is on our team. I hope we can also acquire "yo-ho" and "dat-b****" before the deadline.

Really? So which team has the 1.6 mil TE? That can really narrow down Rockets' trading partner! Any salary guru on this thread?

Anybody know if we can send Maciej Lampe to the D-League?

Didn't we combine Reece Gaines and the trade exception to get Mike James?

Nice move. Moochie was old and not of future use. If this gu is destined as trade add on, OK. I am OK keeping him and seeing how he developes the next couple of years. He may not be a banger, however a 7 foot athletic guy who can shoot from the outside will fit in well. Maybe we can develope a Matt Bullard type spot up shooter. The cost was negligable, the upside is there. Nice work CD.
By the way, can you imagine the basketball culture shock to this kid when he showed up in Phoniex and the Steve Nash run and gun. Wow. Then Now Orleans, Hurricane Katrina, move to Oklahoma City ( a nice town ) . He is still only 20. I say again, nice move CD.

Nash wasn't there yet. This kid was in Phoneix for 2003-2004 only.

Edit: my bad. He did see Nash in action.

Must be weird to be traded twice by the same team.

I think this is a great move by the Rockets. Moochie isn't doing anything for the team, and neither will Lampe. But Lampe is VERY young, and was a big prospect when he came into the draft. He's the player who was projected to be a late lottery pick, and ended up falling all the way to the 1st pick in the 2nd round because of a buyout on his european contract. He can sit on the bench for the rest of the year, and perhaps challenge for playing time next year. IMO, this is an EXCELLENT trade for the team.

Maybe a Latrell signing in the future. Minny, $3.4 mill exception for a re-signed Lattrell????
