I wouldn't necessarily say, "Poor Moochie." He goes to a team that is currently in the 6th spot. He'll get some minutes while Paul and Claxton are injured. He makes $4 million. Granted, he has to live in OKC for a while.
you photoshopped a picture to prove me wrong? lame If you change the head, I'm positive it's T-mac, over a merged being of lampe and dirk.
I have a feeling this is purely for the trade execption. By trading DA's $1.6 m straight up with the exception the Rockets will able to get a player making near MLE money. I think that is why this was very attractive to the Rockets. Hopefully, they can pull something off soon and not hold on to it until next season.
Well, Badiane is getting real minutes (last time I checked) in Euro Pro. basketball and he looked fine in summer league in terms of rbs. At least Badiane has the fire in him. Not sure about this guy. He looks softer than butter.
Actually he fell because his euro team was posturing that they would require a huge buyout to release Lampe, one which teams were not permitted to give under the cba. But for whatever reason, he went to NY w/o much protest from his old team. And since then, yah, he's sucked. The dude is not a center just because he's listed as one on nba.com or yahoo or whatever. He's a soft pf. But he's worn a knicks jersey before so good trade.
Interesting. We all know Lampe won't play any so this was obviously a cost-cutting trade. It's just interesting they did it now with the only true PG we have on the roster outside of Rafer. So the real question is, why are they wanting to cut salary all of a sudden?
You can't combine a TE with someone's salary. If we bring in somebody with the TE, it'll be someone making 3.4 mill or less.
Well, at least CD is really working those phones lately... Still looking for an "impact" player to help out with some of the scoring load or at least to back up T-Mac to get his minutes down... I really like these 2 deals, we get Bogans (poor man's Bruce Bowen) to help on defense with some of the taller 2s and Lampe (young, $900K project, $3.4M TE) to develop behind Yao and Deke at the 4/5 for absolute bench fodder in Baxter and Moochie. Up next is DA and unfortunately...JB, whom I'll miss... I think Swift, Head, and Bowen stay. Sura is now our backup PG at the end of the month. Head will fill in until then. JVG is really showcasing Swift though, especially after the few no hard feelings approach to all his tardinesses. He didn't even lose his spot in the rotation last night!
I still don't think Rockets will trade Swift, given his contract, age and talent. Swift has been more consistent (probably not meaning much) recently when he is on the court. It seems to me he genuinely tries to help the team win. Jho is getting old, and never been athletic, Hayes is undersized. So Swift is definately a keeper.
