Hey, Moochie is already playing: so far, 3 minutes, 3pt, 1 assist, 1 rb, 0 turnover. Not bad.

Okay this is the master plan (my master plan :D ) :

    Moochie for TE 4.2M
TE 0.9M for Lampe (assume we have such exception left to make my theory work ;) )

TE 4.2M+draft pick 2006 for Darko
    Deke+Barry for arroyo

Swift for Cliff Robinsion+Mercer+Murray(all expiring contract) +draft pick 2006

    Waive Mercer and Murray

    Yao, Robinson, Lampe
    Howard, Darko, Hayes
    T-mac, Bowen, Bogans
    Wesley, Head, DA
    Alston, Arroyo, Sura

We gamble on Darko instead of Swift. We have Arroyo as back PG who can give us some perimeter shooting in the PG position. We give deke and Barry a chance to win a ring at the end of their career. We let Swift have a chance to flourish with Kidd.

Pistons get the valuable big man and outside shooter (rumors say they want to trade Arroyo and Darko for Cato and draft pick) and clear the cap space in the summer. Swift is what Nets want.

Wow, 10 pages and more than 11,000 views. I wonder how many pages for Swift's trade. :)

WTF, Moochie hit a 3 pointer today in his debut. He didn't hit a 3 during the whole span of his second tenure with the Rockets.

When Lampe was traded to Phoenix from New York, many of the experts stated that instead of being known as the Marbury trade that the trade would be remembered as the Lampe trade. Of course that might not be the truth now but it does speak of the possible potential he has. I see this as a low risk/high reward type of deal. He is young and could still develop.

If you were expecting something more, maybe your expectations were a little too high because Moochie didn't have a big salary. It was rather low so it wasn't going to reel in something *splash* material. But I think this trade will help the team's future.

I think this was the guy who was billed as the next dirk, then fell to the knicks in the second round.

he's supposed to have a decent shot. probably still pretty young too.

edit: sorry, somehow I missed the nineteen posts before mine that mentioned this.

I think this trade is just to help further a package trade later on down the road. I don't see any difference on this teams roster with Lampe or without Moochie.

This young man is a player of great potential, very young and green . I just hope that we have a patient coach to develop his game. Lampe could be a great adition to our athletic youth movement but will need direction just as Yao Ming did. Hopefully he has much more basketball savy than Stromile Swift and will learn well from our experienced coaches.

Hornet's fans love this guy, that's a good, the bad thing is they love him like Rocket's fans loved Boki.

Looks like Moochie has already blessed the Hornets, David West hit a jumper from the top of the key with .5 seconds left in the game and the hornets won by 1. I did not expect to see moochie with the hornets yet, but sure enough there was moochie in uniform congratulating david west. Crazy how fast things happen..

Gag. We don't need dollars wasted on a point guard like that. Rafer is gonna get a majority of the minutes there and we've got Sura, etc. coming back. It doesn't improve us at the 2 or the 4.

See ya Moochie... we loved you before but that does not mean that we love you in a Rockets jersey forever

LOL i got a good laugh out of this game. So i was watching it on league pass and as soon as i turn it on MOOCHIE hits a 3 im like WTF... Yeah so gets boring i look back on the internet 95-96 .5 Seconds to go, Oh i gotta see this , And What do you know Mooch is standing on the bench jumping up and down right before West's shot goes in  , and then you see him all over west hugging him  . Well i think moochie is happy where he is now, Good Luck, :D :D

Damn... Why did we have to trade him to the good team.

Im suprised the hornets pulled this off AGAIN without Chris paul

I'm glad he's getting playing time with the NOK. Hopefully he plays well enough for them to sign him to a new contract next year.

Yeah, it was a great game. People were leaving the game after Jamison hit a jumper with .5 left. The place went crazy when West hit the jumper. Gotta love Moochie. If he can't be a Rocket, I'm glad he is on a good team getting some PT. Plus, since I have season tix for the Hornets, I'll get to see him play a lot.

Please note: I am and always be a Rockets fan first.

i don't think we are going to make a huge deal. probably just TE for extra rotation player.

I don't see any room in the front court to add a player with the TE. if we needed an extra wing player we would just play DA! the only position that is not filled is the backup PG.

now start thinking of possibilities!!!

    :p

True. But I was mistaken. I looked at an NBA.com "prospect" page where they listed him as 6'11" back before the draft, but at 240 lbs. Maybe that's what I was thinking of. He's put on some serious bulk if he's at 275 lbs. now.
