Moochie Norris is the worst player that I have ever seen.

Mooch should only play when SF needs to catch a breath. In the first two games, there were time SF and Mooch were both on the court, and that is something I really hate to see.

Why do they call him Moochie? Is it cause he mooches money and minutes from the rockets? Forget Moochie, his new name is MOOCHER.

Moocher stinks. And it wasn't just his afro/corn-rolls.

It took Cato a couple of years to step it up after signing that extension, so maybe Moochie is on the "Cato timeline." If so, it's time to send him back to the CBA....or was it the WNBA.

Once Pike comes back JVG will have another backup for the G position. I suspect Moochie will then be getting much less playing time, >10 mins a game. I really, really hope so!

I'm guessing that Mooch must play VERY well in practice. If he were this bad during practice, they'd never let him near the court for games.

Man, I was *really* hoping that last year was a fluke and that we'd see a lot of improvement this year. Then again, I was also hoping Heidi Klum would show up in my bed. I'm just a wishful thinker that way.

If your season stat is correct, then the assist/turnover ratio should be 1.
At least moochie is getting some asist...

Insight from ESPN clarifies Reason for the Rockets downfall in recent years:

"... Moochie Norris has played in 277 consecutive NBA games, the second longest active streak in the league. Shandon Anderson of New York leads with 500. ... "

    Someone break his knees! :p

Apparently Wilks and Nachbar are worse than the supposed worst player in the NBA, at least according to Gundy. He wouldn't have played a 4-guard lineup last night that included Moochie if he felt otherwise.

RIET: Do you know for a fact that the Rockets didn't go after Travis Best? Why would he choose Houston over Dallas?

moochie got a huge contract because of his funny hair. so a few years and a bobble head doll later, he has run his course. he's even cut off his hair now so they can't even try to market him. sucks to be jvg having to work with that...

I've seen Allan Levell and Mooch is no AL - he's worse. I cannot think, in my 20+ years of watching pro ball, of a worse pg.

    from GoMemphis:

Streaking: John Stockton's retirement from Utah left Houston's Moochie Norris with the second-longest active streak for consecutive games played. Norris played in his 277th straight game, trailing New York's Shandon Anderson (500).

I know this subject has been beaten to death, but after reading this paragraph, I have to angrily ask:

WTF ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

This is what would happen in my little dream world:

Houston trades: PF Eddie Griffin (8.6 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.1 apg in 24.5 minutes)
PG Moochie Norris (4.3 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 2.4 apg in 16.8 minutes)
Houston receives: SF Ron Artest (15.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.9 apg in 33.6 minutes)
PF Primoz Brezec (2.0 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 0.2 apg in 5.2 minutes)
PG Jamaal Tinsley (7.8 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 7.5 apg in 30.6 minutes)
SG Jamison Brewer (2.2 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 1.8 apg in 8.0 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +14.6 ppg, +3.0 rpg, and +8.9 apg.

Indiana trades: SF Ron Artest (15.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.9 apg in 33.6 minutes)
PF Primoz Brezec (2.0 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 0.2 apg in 5.2 minutes)
PG Jamaal Tinsley (7.8 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 7.5 apg in 30.6 minutes)
SG Jamison Brewer (2.2 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 1.8 apg in 8.0 minutes)
Indiana receives: PF Eddie Griffin (8.6 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.1 apg in 77 games)
PG Moochie Norris (4.3 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 2.4 apg in 82 games)
Change in team outlook: -14.6 ppg, -3.0 rpg, and -8.9 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

There were BYC players involved in this trade, so this trade is subject to the BYC provisions of the CBA. Due to Houston and Indiana being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Indiana had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
