What was the context? I doubt Moochie thinks he's as good as Steve and AI. I think he meant "guys that play ISO style; dribble a lot.
Greg and David: The interview was one of the edited quickies that come when they give the scores. The interviewer was either David Delotti or Matt Jackson (I think it was DD). The topic was the changes Gundy will bring as the new coach, specifically his offensive style. His response, or at least the one they aired, did not represent a complete thought. He said something like, "Yeah, guys like me, Stevie, Allen Iverson, we ......." He laughed and said something I didnt follow. He concluded by predicting they would all adjust to whatever. It left the impression he was talking without wanting to actually say anything.
You want to know the real reason why Mooch sucked this past year??? Dude didnt blow up the fro that much. Maybe 5 or 6 games tops that I saw (and I watched a lot of games). Those damn cornrows must have been braided EXTRA tight.
The problem with Moochie is that he thinks his role is to step in for Stevie and be the same type of guard Stevie is. However, Moochie is nowhere near as gifted and as talented as Steve so he should try compliment Steve's abilities rather than duplicate them. He should be more focused on starting the break and getting the ball to the right man when he's in instead of trying to break his man down off the dribble as Steve might.
I'm feeling a Moochie moment right now, could somebody please post that animation of Moochie dancing with the James Brown music? That thing was hilarious.
Here's my take... Reporter: "So, they say that Jeff Van Gundy will bring a new offensive style, but he wont allow players to play without discipline..." Moochie: "Yeah, guys like me, Stevie, Allen Iverson, we...." (need discipline)....
I hope Moochie's starting to sweat a bit. The protection---and playing time---he received from Rudy are gone. Just because Moochie's agent squeezed out a huge contract doesn't mean he'll get Favored Nation status anymore. I don't know what it is about Rudy T. and his penchant for players who hit game-winning threes once every forty games (Moochie, Drew) or once every twenty games (re: Mad Max). But that's gone. Moochie: don't dribble. Pass.
I saw an interview w/Mooch on Fox. He was saying that he approved of the JVG hiring. Whew. What a relief.
I just want you to sure that you know that MAD MAX was a great three point shooter, with a fantastic clutch shot. Nothing like Moochie or Drew. He was one of the best defensive players to ever play the Game. He was the only one who could guard Michael Jordan. He even outscored him at the same time, on one occasion. High praises from me because I didnt like his character.
hey Moochie can be reading this now! When he win a game all you love Moochie and now he sucks Moochie, sorry but you sucks _____________________ DOn't underrate Mo taylor
This girl I just met has a friend who was on West Florida's girls' team the same time Moochie was there. She said they hang out everytime they come to Dallas. I'm going to continue talking to this girl.
