So, ROCKETBOOSTER. allow me to combine your last two posts....

"but the fact is i hate it man"....so it is safe to say that you "hate" the fact "Rudy just milked his best options."

    Are we clear now??

No, i hate the fact that Rudy has no other option but this during some nights. But at the same time i feel he overly exploited this line-up, like say against Pat Riley, or Portalnd, or remember last year in phoenix, he chose to slide Walt over to the four, and have Mobley at the three all so Moochie could squeeze himself in the point guard role, we suffered a humiliating choking loss that game for one reason, we were out matched with size, by friggin phoenix of all teams. To me that was the turning point of the season. Hell dont label me as a Rudy basher, i'm just saying his infataution with the three guard line-up and love of the three-point pick man(Bullard, williams) got our asses burned plenty of times last year. You say thats all he had to work with soem nights and i agree. But other games he had the availability of Rogers, Thomas, or Taylor alot of times during the fourth, but chose not to play them. Man im not being a smartass bro, Im 24 and have been watching basketball here in houston since i was...hell 10...I may not no the ins n' outs of every play like you do, but i no what i see as a freakign hindrance. Rudy milked the best options at times but at other times, alot of games actually, he went with what he felt was comfortable, like sliding Walt or Bull over to the four and of course we got freaking burned most of them nights, especially in the fourth.

keep it coming though Crispee, im picking up valuable basketball insight info from you man.

You are smoking crack! Iso was part of the offense. RudyT encourages it. So don't get down on an individual player for that. Rudy's genius is that he understands the current team's strenghts and he beats it into the ground. AKA Barkley and the 10 second back downs. AKA Dream's inside out game.

The reason Mooch did iso was because he was effective at it. I would say most of the time he ran an iso, it resulted in a spectacular pass for a dunk or a wide open 18 footer for MoTay.

BTW, I'd have to disagree, Cat's iso is more frustrating to watch. His crossover isn't as effective so he often ends up dumping it off to get bailed out when he gets stuck halfway in the lane. At least Mooch typically gets an assist or the next pass is an assist.

2ndBTW, all the iso game that you claim to hate, it actully works. Teams can't defend it. Thats why Rockets built a rep for having most dangerous and feared backcourt...for good reason.
