i wonder if moneyball is similar to a philosophy like the one in the book freakanomics. i don't know a lot about post-modern economics but i think its an interesting idea. Aren't they starting to do psychological tests on these dudes sometimes? If they are that would be invaluable for doing futuristic voodoo analysis. I'm sure there's a way moneyball can exploit the system for a while.
Actually, not a bad idea. In the next CBA, they change contracts to pay players by the minute, and maybe have them punch a timeclock on their way in and out of the game....
