The traditional cultural upbringing and strict communist ideology have profound impact on prevailing Chinese' attitude towards homosexuality. Of course being a "born-again" doesn't relieve any of the prejudice. I freely admit although I am no longer a homophobe, I used to be one. Just a couple of weeks ago, while my wife and I were visiting a Chinese couple we talked about the movie Brokeback Mountain, the guy unbashedly called gays "deviates," and homosexuality a "social disease" and "genetic abnormality." And no, he is not a religious person.
I can appreciate that, but bigotry's still bigotry and it should be called what it is. Not to mention the fact that he's still cutely denying that he's saying what he's obviously saying.

That's arguable. Pedophilia is the desire to rape young children that can't possibly consent. And it's obvious what you're trying to do here, by likening homosexuality to child rape. Why didn't you ask if heterosexuality was a choice instead? It's obvious what you're trying to say. You're a bigot. Plain and simple. I asked a simple question. shrug. and I live in NYC, of course I know gay people. I dont know if I know any pedophiles, thats probably not something they would tell me.
