Gotta love the rhetoric in this thread.

Young woman gets murder and its discovered to be an illegal. The right wingers immediately detract from the story to focus on a totally different topic in illegal immigration.

Not to be outshined by the idiocy, the left wingers double down on stupidity and indirectly blame the employer for hiring the individual, never mind the illegal passed the verification system.

Its truly sad. Mollie is a victim of murder. Now she is a victim of pointless political nonsense that has nothing to do with her death.

WTF are you talking about? Where did I say that I was willing to dismiss due process? Yes, he's innocent until proven guilty of murder...though I guess I jumped the gun saying that even though he's the one that led them to her body.

You're putting words in my mouth because you're apparently disappointed that this just doesn't appear to fit the narrative you and Fox News have built. I really do not know the details of how E-Verify works...but if he were here illegally, wouldn't that have waived a big red flag?

I think the defense lawyer (there's a thankless job) is stating the killer was here legally to work.

In any case, we'll see what's true and what isn't. FOX had the scoop on this story. Maybe they ran with the illegal thing, and maybe it's true anyway.

Not that any of this brings the girl back to life.

Don't worry. If he was here legally, they will just move goal posts to blaming all legal immigrants.

    ...soo...

...I'm guessing whatever documents this person was here under were falsified...
    ...or nonexistent...?

Is that why Republicans only talk about illegal immigration and not actually do anything about? GOP sure loves talking about it....

Again, your party controls all 3 branches of government... why do you support such impotence?

It’s 2018, are we incapable of designing a better e verify system?

Loose labor laws and low minimum wages, conservative principles, make illegal immigration easier.

Don’t be fooled by the GOP, they could do something but aren’t. All they can do is create press releases and talk on Fox News.

I'm talking about how you are fully prepared to believe his lawyer about immigration status but already calling him a murderer. If his lawyers claims he is not guilty on that I doubt your opinion changes.

No words, just observation of bias. No need to get riled.

Remember. E-Verify implementation was the red line for the Dems. Not wall funding. They were fully prepared to do that.

So design a better system and make it federal. You need to re read the bipartisan immigration bill that Trump choose not to sign. Again, the GOP controls all 3 branches and still can’t do anything....

Texas shares a border with Mexico yet the uber conservative Texas legislature and governor don’t even have an e verify system in place....

    All hat, no cattle.

Like I said, the Dem redline was e verify. They were fully prepared to fund a wall.

Lol. The GOP couldn’t even agree on e verify. So spare me...

The GOP could pass a bill but won’t. Bottomline.

Texas GOP could enforce labor laws and create an e verify but they don’t.

    All hat.

Lol! I bet you voted for McCain 10 year ago. Have you considered your party just can’t get it’s **** together to govern?

    So what’s Texas GOP’s excuse?

    Lots of hats....
